Rapid Monthly osu! Tournament Invitational 5

The Rapid Monthly osu! Tournament Invitational 5 (RMoTI 5) was an exclusive osu! tournament hosted by the Rapid Tournaments team. It was the fifth instalment of the Rapid Monthly osu! Tournament Invitational.

The prizes are handed out in the form of points; every 48 points can be redeemed for a month of the osu!supporter tag.

Predictions

Anyone was allowed to predict the outcome of the tournament until the starting date. The predictions took place on Challonge and top four predicters were awarded one fourth the amount awarded to the players:

Olii won the predictions, with Redavor in second place, and Malson in third place.

Participants

16 players are admitted into each Invitational. Only players who have reached the Semifinals in one of the last four Invitationals get invited. Players eligible for Invitational 5 were:

Notice: Klein- and Nogad gave up their places in the Invitational, and iTzAshraf and _Suzuha reached semifinals twice. Due to this, 4 people who have not reached semifinals were selected to participate in the tournament: filler players.

The filler players were chosen according to a few criteria in the following priority:

  1. Having participated in and reached QF (quarterfinals) once out of the last 4 RMoT's
  2. Number of times reached QF
  3. Number of times participated in RMoT
  4. Current pp

Aasheda_, Likean00b, My Angel Erwin and Skif4a8929 gained the right to participate in the Invitational, Skif4a8929 being seeded lower than the other three.

Mappool

There was only one mappool for all matches, made of beatmaps from the last four RMoT mappools. There were six tiebreaker beatmaps, one for each stage. Every tiebreaker from the last four RMoTs and two new beatmaps were picked for tiebreaker.

Ruleset

General rules

  1. The tournament will be held in 1v1 double-elimination format with traditional seeding.
  2. The matches will be played using Score V2 and TeamVS settings.
  3. A referee will be present in every match and every match will be streamed, with additional commentators when possible.
  4. The tournament will be held over three weekends, joining the Discord server is mandatory at least for the duration of the tournament.
  5. The Winning conditions for each stage will be:
    • Round of 16 and Losers Round 1 are Best-of-5.
    • Quarterfinals, Semifinals, Losers Round 2, and Losers Round 3 are Best-of-7.
    • Finals, Losers Round 4, and Losers Semifinals are Best-of-9.
    • Grand Finals and Losers Finals are Best-of-11

Match rules

  1. The referee will create the room and invite or move the players in.
  2. The players will roll to determine the order of picking warmups and maps.
  3. The higher roller will pick the first warmup map.
  4. The lower roller will ban first, the higher roller will pick first.
  5. FreeMod is forced mod, meaning every player has to use at least one mod.
  6. Tiebreaker is not forced mod but you may choose a mod.
  7. Eligible mods for FreeMod and Tiebreaker are Easy, Flashlight, Hard Rock and Hidden.
