4 Digit osu!mania World Cup

The 4 Digit osu!mania World Cup (4DM) was a worldwide country-based double-elimination 3v3 osu!mania 4-key tournament hosted by Fletch. Players formed teams with all members being ranked between #1,000 and #9,999. It was the first instalment of the 4 Digit osu!mania World Cup.

Ruleset

General rules

  1. Participant must be within ranks #1,000 - #9,999 during registrations.
  2. Participant will register through the registration form and after seeding and screening phase by our staff, there will be a team captain selected for each country.
    • The captain will announce its players within the team with a composition of minimum 3 players and maximum 6 players
  3. Even in a tournament scene osu! is still a game. Please respect each other to everyone, be friendly, and fair play.
  4. 4 Digit osu!mania World Cup will use double-elimination bracket, which means that there will be a loser's bracket.

Stage regulations

Qualifiers

  1. The qualifiers stage will have each team play through a set of 4 maps twice.
  2. Teams will put forward 3 players per map and are able to interchange these players between maps.
  3. The top scores on each map by each team will be summed and used as the basis upon which teams are seeded later for Group Stage.

Group stage

  1. The Group stage will have teams placed in a group of 5.
  2. All the teams from each group will face each other.
  3. Ranking of each group are determined by soring the results of each team's performance in the following priority:
    1. Most matches won
    2. The team's Win/Loss record
    3. Most maps won
  4. Available seeding for groups from their best qualifiers results are as follows:
    1. Top seed
    2. High seed
    3. Middle seed
    4. Low seed
    5. Unseeded
  5. In the end of the Group stage, 1 team from each group will not proceed to the knockout stage and will be eliminated from the tournament.

Knockout stage

  1. The rounds after the Group Stage will use double-elimination format, consisting of two brackets, the 'Winners' and the 'Losers'.
  2. Teams finishing on the top of their group (from group stage), will be placed against the team who finished 2nd in a different group, examples are as follows:
    • Scenario: 8 groups in the group stage
      • The 1st place of group A will face the 2nd place of group H
      • The 2nd place of group A will face the 1st place of group H
      • The 1st place of group B will face the 2nd place of group G
      • The 2nd place of group B will face the 1st place of group G
  3. Teams which win a match in the winners bracket will progress through said bracket.
  4. Teams which lose a match in the winners bracket will fall in to the losers bracket.
    • If they lose again in the losers bracket, they will be eliminated from the tournament
  5. During the Grand Finals match, if the winning team is the team from the losers bracket, a bracket reset will take place and match will be replayed again with the same mappool.

Match regulations

  1. The referee will create the multiplayer room 10 minutes prior to the allotted time, and invite the team captains 5 minutes before the scheduled match time.
  2. When both captains have arrived in the lobby and confirm they have 3 available players, the match will commence.
  3. If team fail to attend/don't have the minimum player participating within the span of 10 minutes, the other team will win by default.
  4. If both teams fail to attend/don't have the minimum player participating within the scheduled time, a reschedule will occur, should this same scenario occur at the rescheduled time then the higher seeded team will receive a win by default.
  5. Match will consist a warmup to begin with, one for each team, which must not exceed the 4:00 mark.
  6. Each player from each team will do !roll at the start of the match to determine the match order.
    • The team with higher roll will pick first, and ban second
    • The team with lower roll will ban first, and pick second
  7. Teams are allowed up to one ban per match which cannot be the tiebreaker and are to be chosen by each teams respective captain.
  8. All maps will be played under FreeMod.

Winning conditions

  1. Group Stage: Best-of-7 (first to 4 points)
  2. Round of 16: Best-of-9 (first to 5 points)
  3. Quarterfinals and Semifinals: Best-of-11 (first to 6 points)
  4. Finals and Grand Finals: Best-of-13 (first to 7 points)
