yeeeea when mapping i like to try and keep repeat sections similar cause they are literally repeating parts of the music, but you raise a very valid point that i didn't consider lol. what im taking from this is that i should vary these repeat sections but not too much in order to keep consistency without it being repetive and stale.
i find what you said about rhythm density and intensity very interesting...ity. i always focus on things like spacing for intensity, so rhythm kinda flies past me and i just go with what feels right at first. even though yea its really obvious that 1/4 repeat sliders represent less intense sounds/gameplay feel than active spaced 1/4 for example. i definitely will try to apply this to the map to better represent changes in song intensity.
