I've always wanted to make a video about my journey in osu but not having time to do it (I work 12 hrs a day, literally have no time) so I'll just write down here instead
Before osu
The year is 2016. I was a 1st year high school student when I first heard about osu from an online friend of a mobile game called Sid Story (he still plays osu till this day). Back then I was a big fan of Love Live series (idol hell lol), so I was immediately hooked to the game because of the large amount of Love Live maps osu had. The name "Kasshoku" (褐色) came from another Sid Story friend of mine which means tanned skin (and yes, it is also a very popular hentai genre).
1st year of osu (2016)
Unlike many other players, I could only play osu at net cafe because I didn't have a PC or laptop at that time. I usually played osu while in League of Legends lobby but after just a month, osu became my main game at net cafe (first sign of osu addiction I guess). I played the game very casually, just enjoying the songs and nothing else.
2nd year of osu (2017)
I started exploring other maps than Love Live and osu slowly changed my music taste. Just like everyone, I discovered the pp system and started grinding for some ranks. After 6 months of osu, I had nearly 1000 total pp and was able to pass 5* maps, which is pretty normal. I mainly played HR and NM TV size maps, and by the end of 2017 I got my first 100pp
3rd year of osu (2018)
I started to join some osu tourneys and made some friends out of there. The guy who introduced me to osu also joined as well, but at that time I was no match for him. Also HDHR and HDDTHR low AR map was my top plays lol. I grinded a lot, and some of those maps still remained my most play maps till this day
4th year of osu (2019)
I invested a lot of time trying to pass maps with EZ and EZDT and posted those score on VN osu fanclub (the biggest osu community on Facebook I believe). Needless to say, I wasn't improve anything at all. I regreted spending time on a skillset which has no use lol. But speaking of improvement, I started to get good at short NM jump maps
