You ignore a lot of strong sounds that could be mapped more actively. If these sounds were clickable (like a circle or slider head), it would map the map more consistent and satisfying to play. Here are some examples:
There are more sliders that can be changed similarly. The main idea is to be consistent with rhythm you're following. If a sound is being followed in every object of the section except for a few, those few notes will feel really bad to play.
A lot of the notes are not correctly snapped to 1/3rd. This is especially true for a lot of vocal sounds. Here are some examples of circles that are incorrectly snapped to 1/4th: 00:03:814 (2) -00:06:900 (3) - 01:12:728 (2) - 01:26:099 (5) - . The sounds at 00:45:128 (1,2,3,4) - are actually snapped to 1/3rds, making these four vocal sounds a quad instead of circle -> triple. These are just a few examples and there are more throughout the map. Be careful when listening to vocals especially in this song since she often switches between the different snap divisors. I suggest playing the song on slower playback rate if you really can't tell which it is.
I would consider going for more simple longer slider shapes. Currently, they seem random don't really fit together. Simpler, yet effective slider shapes would make your visuals look a lot better.
Another thing you can modify is to add more geometric shapes. Some examples:
01:10:057 (1,2,3,4,5) - change to perfect star
03:04:234 (2,3,4) - making equilateral triangle with slider heads and the circle would look much better
04:26:821 (1,1,2,3) - triangle
The song is also not very intense. You're using spacing (cross-screen) that is imo too much. I would decrease general spacing as well.
03:37:939 (1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2) - Rhythm doesn't support 1-2s here. Usually you would only put them when there are obvious strong sounds on the 1s (or 2s) and a much weaker one on the other. Consider grouping them into larger combos.
03:17:821 (1,2,3) - This rhythm doesn't work currently. There are three sounds starting on 03:17:645 - that could be a triple, but you opted to map a much quieter sound on 03:17:910 - while ignoring the other two.
02:29:645 (1) - Slider ends on a stronger sound than the slider beginning. I would map 02:29:998 - actively (clickable) to better reflect the sounds. 02:37:586 (7) - another example
a lot of the sliders in this map ignore strong sounds or rhythms. for example 00:33:422 (2) - 01:18:771 (3) - 01:20:166 (6) - 00:29:934 (6) -
Yeah I can see how that might happen since that map was the inspiration. This was my first time mapping in this type of style where instead of fully mapping every sound, you express them as a whole through streams and spacing. Clearly I did not get that down well. I think I will rework most of the kiai and break up the really long streams.
