CRHIX's Modding History

yeah I mean some tags aren't strictly needed for going ranked, but I just think that more tags are better (of course if they're inherent with the song)
That seemed very obvious to me the first time I heard it but alright
Alright then
I mean yea that's not hard for a muzukashii but it just doesn't follow any sound. It feels like it's misplaced like you've missclicked and accidentally put it there. If you really like it tho then you can leave it, that's just an opinion from an external player/mapper
That's pretty fine, although I would prefer my method cause the melody is very strange and hard to follow with shorter patterns. However I'd still like to add a don here 00:22:990 to follow the kick sound, which isn't very present but it's there
That's fair
Oh yea that works as well. It's 1/2 snapping but it doesn't have any notes closer to it than 1/1 so it's fine for a Kantan. Mark as solved when you apply the change
I mean 7 notes patterns in futsuu diffs are fine, especially if the bpm is not very fast. They don’t have to be more than 5 notes if the futsuu diff is the easiest diff in the set (if you want to follow the ranking criteria). In this case I just thought it didn’t fit
Yea tbh it was personal preference, if you like it how it is then it’s fine, it’s not a wrong patterning
I don’t think 1/12 doesn’t fit in the ranked criteria, as long as it follows the sound and it’s not constant 1/12 notes, so making extremely fast patterns. This case is just 1/6 notes slightly moved within the 1/12 snapping. Overall tho I agree so I’ll let this be resolved
ehh still not sure. I listened to that part multiple times with 25% playback rate and I think that the R in "around" (which starts the second syllable, so it has more emphasis) is in the 1/4 snapping. We can wait for other modders to give an opinion on this
kkkkk is fine yea
Alright, mark as resolved when you apply the change
I don't want to play no more, time to go, I'll find the door!
I think I found a similar situation in this map https://osu.ppy.sh/beatmapsets/938144#taiko/1959633 So I'm guessing that our case would be "The Snowths (CV: Frank Oz), Mahna Mahna (CV: Jim Henson)"
While I do hear the "breathing" at 01:21:678, I still don't think that should be mapped. It's probably not wrong to do so and only my preference (I'm also a new modder and novice mapper after all so I'm never really so sure about what I say), but I think it sounds better. In the second case I would've done something like this (from 01:21:573 to 01:22:415): dd kd dk or dd k dk. I understand that following the percussions may be a bit repetitive though so your way is fine too.
Few things: Maybe add "the muppet show" to tags too? I'm not sure if this is required or not but I've seen some maps having the source in the tags as well. As for the artist, "The Snowths (CV: Frank Oz, Jim Henson)" is probably correct but the fact is that, as Disturbia said, The Snowths was performed by Frank Oz and Mahna Mahna by Jim Henson. So technically we could also put Mahna Mahna as the artist just like The Snowths, both being the "singers" in this song, performed by two different voice actors.
That's fine yea
The artist never goes in the source, but I don't really know what to put there. The general solution would be "The Muppet Show" or even more generically "Sesame Street". Since the performance has been done in various episodes/media in general, I can't seem to find the actual first time it has been performed and in what media. Probably "The Muppet Show" is fine, but yeah let's wait for what the metadata reviewer says
Maybe also "viva la sauna svedese" which is the title of the original version.
Non penso di rankarla, è for fun perché adoro la canzone ma grazie per l’hype comunque <3 (il tuo set è fantastico)
Thanks! :D
You’re right, in the Kantan there are a lot of 1/2 patterns but only because they would be 2/1 at only 108BPM which is still very slow compared to most of the songs in this game. Idk if the ranking criteria would allow something like that, because iirc those criteria refer to maps at around 180BPM for reference, so the chart difficulty of the Kantan here is even easier than a normal Kantan (it’s not even 1 star, although its true that the slow sv make it an harder map because of reading, just like the top diff). But you can look at it and tell me what you think about it. I wasn’t really thinking about ranking this set when I was mapping it (it would be nice to do so but I think ranking a song like this is extremely complicated), but it’s always good to have some feedback (especially when it comes from experienced mappers like you) to make my maps better or more enjoyable.
Yeah the fact is that the chart is very easy, it has some 1/4 patterns but the BPM is extremely slow so they’re even easy for a normal Futsuu diff. But I still wanted to do an heavy SV map because I thought it would fit the song more. Idk if there are any solutions to this, but still I’m glad you enjoyed it!
I usually put those little kiais in my maps and also some sv changes even if they wouldn't be really necessary just to make the map a bit less boring (and since I don't plan on ranking basically any of my maps I don't think that's really an issue). As for the break 01:02:791 - 01:47:098, I don't really know what to put there since they're basically just talking, although in the similar part 02:44:329 - 03:30:022 I did put some filler notes because otherwise the break would've been veeery long (cause it would've included the part without the piano too).

Alright, kept it as normal note
I'm not really sure about that because it's a on red tick and I rarely see finishers there, but will transform it into a finisher anyway since I'm not an experienced mapper yet so I'll follow your advice.
Deleted that note and moved the other one
Moved the note (thanks for modding!)
Removed
Made those two notes finishers
You're right; I added some notes where you told me to
Thanks! I'll try to adjust the SVs, but I'm glad you enjoyed the chart anyway!
Changed those for my GD too
It's fine for me and I see you've already made those changes in my diff too
Extended the spinner (thanks for the help!)
True, removed the note and moved the spinner where the note previously was
Removed the two notes and moved the note to white tick
Removed it
Removed it
Removed the note for both timings
Removed the note
Moved the 7/4 note
ooh I see. I don't think I'm gonna remap the whole thing, also because I wasn't really serious about it, but thanks anyway!
Oh yeah I forgot to do that, thanks
Thanks! Yeah maybe I’ll eventually try mapping some other OST from NSMBW, it’s such a sweet game
