top10 osu austria geil
id love to keep chriz cuz i actually did start mapping under that name with also ranked participation
@matte yeah correctly it should be on the yellow tick (and i did try it out) but due to surrounding density starting on yellow seems misleading to the general idea (and tapping) of the section, hence keeping the red tick snapping :(
since idea is to move inwards i ctrl g'd the things that didnt point outwards, so everything does now stack towards the middle. brain seemed to be afk when mapping this
indifferent opinion on this, so 4.8 it is
Gentlemen, a short view back to the past. Ten years ago, [Natsume Rin] told us ‘take a monkey, place him into the map and he is able to play the map.’ Ten years later, fanzhen told us ‘I had to map my song like a computer, it’s very complicated.’ And fieryrage said that during the testplay – I don’t remember what play - he pressed the wrong circle on the playfield. Question for you both: is Osu mapping today too complicated with twenty and more pattern reading techniques on the map, are you too much under effort, under pressure? What are your wishes for the future concerning the technical difficulty during the maps? Less reading, more? Or less and more clicking with your fingers?
where is my kudosu :sob:
03:03:296 (1) - 03:08:096 (1) -, not a mistake in itself, since you do it consistently for the specific sound, but compared to the rest of the small section
02:28:796 (1) - from here on onwards, the same applies. In the section inbetween i can understand since the extra "fluteish" layer is coming in but from here on onwards you should consistently give the extra emphasis for the blue tick, see 02:30:896 (5) - and 02:33:296 (5) - missing it, the other ones are fine due to the extra incoming layers youre focusing on
made me recheck the first two minutes again cause updating right when looking at map, i would like to revoke the praise :C
01:48:821 (13,1) - if you adjust anything here aswell.
still think some are off, 00:18:596 (2,3) - should have lower spacing than 00:18:746 (3,4) - . 00:22:721 (1,2) - Higher spacing onto this. 00:30:596 (4) - higher spacing for this. 00:32:396 (1,2,3,4,5) -, 00:38:396 (1,2,3,4,5) - spacing here vs. 00:28:796 (1,2,3,4,5) - here, but then again 00:40:196 (4,5,6,7,8) - same pattern despite no synth sound.
gunga based
i actually wonder how its supposed to be regarding spreads. does it normally have to be 80% for every diff or 80% all diffs combined?
regarding the "applies to the 2nd top a little 2". how to fix? i want to keep the reverses with their snappy characteristics and wouldnt know how to change it to keep the idea of the snappiness
no problem mr andrei :salute:
ya ctrl g 1 and 2 for 00:33:307 (1,2) - , 00:34:641 (1,2) - and 00:37:307 (1,2) - , switched the hitsounds around and adjusted patterns to have the impact on melodie
ctrl g 2 3
i assume this is about hitsounds aswell? gave 3 drum hs and end pattern also more support :muscle:
changed hs in that section in general to support the 2's with drum whistle
changed
danke crocoratu
ctrl+g 1 and 3 and 2 and 3 so i go far on 1 with snap back from 3 to 4
yes
extended all spinners to 1/16ths in order to have auto score 1000 xtra points with HR on the spinners
u beat me to it, looked at it with a friend yesterday, wanted to change it x)
u are my goat crocoratu
did move the circles outwards a bit
the stacking always aligns to the vocal point of the patterns, hence the perfect stacks being in the middle cause the map goes repeatedly back to this specific point. Did change it to some other sort of stacking with a similar idea but better readability :(
had that previously way more spaced out, someone complained and it also felt to me a bit exaggerated so i moved it closer, youre the 2nd person to complain about it now. Will leave it open for now and wait for more onions
but ive noticed that i switched 00:55:641 (3,4) - these 2 up, whoopsie!
00:45:141 (5,6,5,6,5,6) - all 3 are different in terms of movement from 5 to 6, which was done purposefully. 00:54:473 (1,1) is consistent with 00:43:307 (1,1,1,1,1) - , 00:48:641 (1,1,1,1,1) - , this specific pattern just takes priority here.
cause i focused on the stronger organ sounds from here 00:11:974 (1) - onwards. If i incluced 13:307, had to include 00:13:474 aswell, but that would have been too rhythmically dense for this section specifically.

00:32:859 (1,2,3,4,1) - selbe hier, am deutlichesten bei 00:33:508 (4,1) -
einigkeit und recht und freiheit
Something i can add is, do your own hitsounds (if you know how to do) Reason is, when hitsounding, you have the possibility to recheck the way you lay out your rhythm and to potentially fix it already
in general, cause i have pointed it out several times already, go and recheck your map in what way you highlight certain drum patterns, more intense drums should be reflected that way in your map aswell, but you neglect it (wont point it out anymore but its something you should try to improve on in your next map for sure)
