Density:
I think a couple sections in this map have misleading density, in that the map represents some sections as the same intensity as others when they're musically different intensities.
-> In the section 00:14:381 - 00:33:581, you use 1/1 xxx followed by x x (so xxx x x xxx x x xxx x x
), which is very dense considering this is the most 'chill' part of the song. I'd:
If you apply any of this, do the same for 01:59:981 - 02:12:381
-> In your kiais, there doesn't feel to be a density increase like you'd expect when a song gets more intense. Using mainly 3plets even in the final kiai, this is pretty lackluster and can be boring to play. I'd use some 5plets, for example:
->is the 5plet at 01:16:781 necessary? Feels a bit forced to me, considering you barely use 5plets in your kiais, to use a pattern like this in a regular section. I'd remove 01:17:981.
I am filled with deep respect and admiration for the incredible talent and dedication of SN^o^ in crafting this extraordinary map. Their expertise and creativity shine through in every detail, making me feel incredibly humbled and unworthy to be part of this project as a modder. I am grateful for the opportunity to assist in any capacity and will strive to uphold the high standards set by SN^o^ with reverence and respect. Their greatness is truly awe-inspiring, and I will do my best to honour their exceptional work through my contributions as a modder.
colour changes on 1/4 in muzukashiis are technically allowed, but normally used in exceptional circumstances and followed by a 1/1 break. You use ddk and kkd unsparingly throughout this dif unnecessarily - it's too hard for this target player demographic, and this map feels more like a 'lite oni' than a muzu. Not only would these be perfectly represented by a kkk
or ddd
, you follow it with 1/2s before and after in most cases - this is too hard, even if its 150bpm. You should change these to either kkk
or ddd
in all cases. I'll list the instances of these below, and what you could change them to.
-> 00:12:981 - ddk to kkk
-> 00:25:781 - ddk to kkk
-> 00:27:181 - kkd to ddd
-> 00:33:581 - kkd to ddd
-> 00:50:381 - kkd to kkk
-> 00:53:781 - ddk to kkk
-> 00:54:581 - dk to dd
-> 00:55:381 - ddk to kkk
-> 00:57:781 - dk to kk
-> 00:58:581 - i'd just delete 00:58:681
-> 01:00:981 - dk to kk
-> 01:01:781 - ddk to kkk
-> 01:04:181 - dk to kk
-> 01:04:981 - ddk to kkk
-> 01:05:781 - ddk to kkk
-> 01:16:181 - ddk to kkk
-> 01:19:181 - ddk to ddd
-> 01:43:381 - ddk to ddd
-> 01:46:581 - ddk to kkk
-> 01:47:381 - ddk to kkk
-> 01:48:981 - ddk to kkk
-> 01:50:581 - kkd to ddd
-> 01:51:781 - ddk to kkk
-> 01:53:781 - kkd to kkk
-> 01:55:381 - kkd to kkk
-> 01:56:981 - ddk to kkk
-> 02:12:181 - ddk to kkk
Only highlighted doublets that have colour changes if they weren't succeeded by at least a 3/4 break.
I think you should buff your kiais a bit, since currently the density seems kind of low for the high intensity, and theres quite a few unnecessary 1/1 breaks. Firstly, you should change the pattern at 00:54:781 since currently its not really mapped to anything - I get the 1/1 break after finisher for emphasis, but since theres a 2/1 left at 00:52:781, the extra break seems a little overkill - move 00:54:781 (8,9) to 00:54:581, 00:55:081 (10) to 00:54:881 and add a note at 00:55:081. You could also fill in spots like 00:55:981, 00:57:581 (this only ends up being 16/1 of constant mapping, which is perfectly fine) and add a note at 01:03:981 too. If you apply do this for the second kiai too.
