Fun song choice, it's just that the pacing of the map feels rough with all the awkward pauses. If I'm looking at other ravey hardcore styled maps (like for example Plan 8 in your favorites) they tend to not give much breaks in higher difficulties at least which keeps the maps flow going better.
Standing out in a positive way of course like I said I liked the song choice and I often download maps based on preview points and approximated difficulty. So it looked like something I might like and after playtesting it a little I still feel like it fits the gamemode well. I'll mark this as resolved for now as I'm not experienced enough to give further feedback.
I guess it's better? The patterns sometimes feel a bit awkward but I don't really know what to do about them since how much of it is due to me being bad or playtesting it too many times. Maybe one striking issue would be the awkward snappings on the fast sv part like 02:09:017 throws me off since that's where I feel like the next note should be and I end up missing the rest.
I’d still recommend seeking further advice from more experienced mappers. I only commented here since your set stood out from the pending section to me and no-one else had done so previously.
Muzukashii and lower are probably fine since you’re more used to them than I am. Keep in mind I can only give feedback as a player since my mapping is pretty rough, maybe try to get in touch with someone that has a lot more mapping/modding experience.
Well the song is driven by a thumping kick so it’d feel weird to give breaks in the harder difficulties there. Going from the beginning 0:14:623, 0:15:445 or 0:19:583 could have a single note to prepare for the next pattern. I’d only add breaks in sections where there isn’t no sound to map adding natural feeling breaks. Also at the end starting from 2:30 to the spinner at 2:55 might feel more natural to map some shorter repetitive patterns to fill the gaps to the instrumentals instead of mapping only the parts where the Jerma sample plays.
Maybe it’s personal preference but maybe you use finishers too leniently (all the KkKkKkK and DdDdDdD stuff) which might work better as shorter patterns and using finishers to emphasizing only the ends of a particular section or a particularly loud sound.
