With how mapping currently is, when it comes to anything straying the least bit from the classic sotarks & co map, it's instantly regarded ass bad without modders being able to conjure up a reason for themselves. If mapping safely and following strict rules that only restrict ones creativity is the only way to get a ranked map, then honestly, something needs to change.

In its current state, I have just about zero interest in the ranked category. No matter what you say, the fact that safe mapping for ranked map being boring will always stay just that; a fact. Even if I were to push myself through the tedious process of mapping safely to cater to DT farmers, and end up getting the hypothetical map ranked, what good has that done? What did I map it for? Recognition? Money? What is there to gain? Unless what is considered rankable changes and the ranking criteria is loosened, there is absolutely no point in mapping in a way I don't enjoy.

The only way I find mapping enjoyable anymore (thanks to modders stuffing my head full of ideal ranked maps) is to do the exact opposite of what the ranking criteria tells you to. Simply put, the only way I have fun with mapping is by going for a finger crushing, osu! breaking experience. If I don't map anything finger crushing or osu! breaking, I'm mapping some other troll map with no intention of anyone playing it.

If you like my map... cool. If you don't I honestly don't care in the slightest. I map for my own enjoyment in the only way I find enjoyable to both, play, and map. If you don't like it, then that's fine. I'm not forcing you to, simply don't push your half-assed RC based opinion on me without thinking for yourself for 10 seconds.

don't really map much for myself, mostly do GDs cause I never find good songs, so uh, hmu if you want a gd ig.

If I know you I'll most likely accept any GD request regardless of song or difficulty (unless I absolutely hate the song)
PLS NO FOR RANKED 4* or under, I honestly can not be asked to sit through 1 - 2 minutes of catering to new players who honestly, could do with a challenge and a bit of variety in the maps they play. Only one way to improve at the game seems most of you fail to realize that.
