i want to emphasize the strength of 03:09:099 more instead of progression, although i want both represented in some extent, completing pattern properly takes away from the former
although current version doesn't do any of these, so i increased spacing on 03:09:270 (2,3), which also justifies 03:09:099 (1) since it contrasts more w/ the high cursor speed right after
i like the pauses, they make 01:18:305 (1) and 02:27:167 (2) shine better and they r recognizable when compared to other long 1/4
although previous kinda just made you rest cursor during so changed them around
00:12:049 (1,2), 00:12:799 (4,5) - ^^since you consistently use stacks as 1/1, these might be misread, albeit not as much as before
i think it would be better if you made 00:12:799 (4,5,1) distance snapped imo - it would lessen the strength of the idea of "stacks are 1/2" since it will only be used once instead of twice consecutively, and it would also be a cute buildup onto 00:13:549 (2) as well
+ the choruses also suffer from this, albeit in a different (and lesser) way, since this rhythm choice being a pretty comfortable one makes the chorus a bit too easy, and makes you miss opportunities where you could highlight vocals stronger imo.
02:06:419 (1,2,3,4) - Making 02:07:310 (4) two circles instead here would both represent vocals more actively and would put stronger emphasis on the increased pitch here. Maybe something like https://noa-my-beloved.s-ul.eu/ULEngUVE
00:51:568 (1,2) - Better to make this a 1/2 slider and 2 circles imo since it will represent the vocals more actively, something like https://noa-my-beloved.s-ul.eu/htnIlqhz would fit nicely, I think.
etc.
A slightly less important (but still important) issue is that there's no emphasis of specific sounds by spacing changes. These changes are generally used for stronger sounds to emphasize their intensity by increasing spacing, and while other changes are used for different stuff, I think that this map can improve the most with focusing on this, so I'll give examples on where you can increase spacing to not make it more complicated.
00:36:394 (2,3,4,5,6)
01:08:920 (4,5,1)
01:17:604 (1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,1)
01:27:709 (1,2,3,4,5,6) etc.
also to address 00:27:236 (1,2,3,4) specifically, nerfing 00:26:604 (1,2,3) would also increase the impact of the former. even though 00:26:604 (1,2,3) is on pretty intense sounds, nerfing it would be beneficial overall imo
sorry for my less than desirable wording
what i meant with my mod was that, while the groupings are correct (01:23:083 (2,3,4,5) and 01:23:723 (1,2,3,4,5) for clarity's sake), the patterning doesn't really separate these two as groups since they look and play too similar
i think that changing these patterns even slightly would separate these two patterns apart from each other, and the screenshot was to show a change both in visuals and movement
how about putting a 1/1 slider on 01:02:849 ? it represents the layer you are following more due to emphasizing the held vocal while decreasing the density of the pattern, which would address both sides of the thing no?
>01:00:963 (1,2,3,4) - 01:02:163 (1,2,3,4,5) - 01:03:706 (1,2,3,4) - are the highlight of the chorus
01:00:963 (1,2,3,4,5) and 01:03:706 (1,2,3,4,5) are the "highlights" of the chorus, but 01:02:163 (1,2,3,4,5,6) acts more as the continuation of 01:00:963 (1,2,3,4,5) and as a slight buildup to 01:03:706 (1,2,3,4,5), as indicated by the vocal intensity dropping (not that much but still noticeable as 01:02:849 - 01:03:706 lack vocals) and the synth sound progressing on 01:03:021 and 01:03:363
which means that using the exact same rhythm choice as 01:03:706 (1,2,3,4,5) and 01:00:963 (1,2,3,4,5) will be considered too active since you are using the same rhythm choice you chose to use in stronger parts of the song to map the weaker measure
01:20:833 (1,2) ^^ while using them once a while is fine in the chorus, using them per measure (01:14:907 (1,2)) impacts the density
01:17:870 (1,2,3,4) ^^
and while 00:24:536 (1) is a great idea that supports the change in sections by using something different while still following the vocal layer, 00:41:944 (1) kinda breaks the uniqueness of it, which is not cool imo.
i'd recommend making it a 1/1 slider instead, it will still represent the held vocal while also breaking the long chain and keeping the section idea intact
