General Preferences I like a lot of genres and styles, but I am more partial towards: english or underrepresented languages (thai/scandanavian/etc) metal, rock, pop, hyperpop Storyboards Muted Sliderends
I generally don't like: 280+ bpm Maps with custom skins/sliderborder colors
These are some songs and artists that I would like to map or see mapped more at some point, purple ones especially

Different styles of mapping are really cool. I personally change the style that I map in with every song depending on my vision of how that song could be played, of if I have an idea that I think could work well in the context of a song. Mapping for high emphasis using different methods (ie density, spacing, sv, or much more) or mapping for high playability (using comfortable flow) are both viable ways to create a map, and not mutually exclusive. Easy "pp farm" or simple maps are good for the game, and high contrast song representation (even this new term "slider vomit" stuff) is also good for the game. The ranked section should have as much variety as the graveyard section, just with more enforced quality standards.
A map being unique isn't necessary for it to be good, fun, or rankable, however, a map being unique will set it apart from other maps and if mapped well with consistent logic, can lift a map higher than what is possible with maps that use ideas that have already been implemented and mastered by others.
Consistency around a whole map using the same style of mapping can work even with the song changing, but the mapping doesn't reflect the song as well as it could. That being said, however, conistency throughout a map is imperative in different ways. If two choruses are the exact same, the map should also be the exact same to best reflect the song. Introducing variety for the sake of variety goes against the point of a map being a reflection of a song. Changing slidershapes and such is fine obviously as long as they are the same theme of slider. Rhythm and spacing should stay the same between two copy+paste sections of music.
Collabs are a great way of lowering the amount of work needed to complete a map and a great way to learn new things about mapping. However, communication needs to be great between any participating mappers to pull of a collab correctly, as I stated before consistency between sections of music and map should be maintained, and if two different mappers map choruses (or similar/same sections) differently, the whole map's quality decreases as a result. So communicating that someone isn't satisfied with someone else's part or that someone else should map a section instead for any reason is needed, and not done enough from my experience. The host should be the one making these communications as they are the one who the map reflects in the community, if someone else makes a map lower quality because they mapped a section differently (even if it is mapped well) that will reflect mostly on the host mapper, not the mapper who made that section
