00:02:849 (6) - So in playtesting these sliders are pretty long to represent a 1/2 note. It is very easy to drop slider ends due to this.
I suggest shortening them a little?
00:04:682 (1,2,3,4,5) - Could be parallel better?
00:09:349 (2,3,4,5,6) - Kind of indents in both directions. Make this straight of curve it 1 direction
00:12:015 (2,3,4,5,6) - Same thing
00:22:682 (3,4,5,6,7) - Burst doesn't lead into stream completely (If this was the point, make the end of the stream point farther right)
00:47:849 (4,5) - Slider end doesn't lead into next note
01:11:682 (2,3,4,5,6) - Just having 2 indented looks a bit off (3-6 aren't straight either)
01:13:182 (2,3,4,5,6) - Could be a star?
01:13:682 (5,4) - Could be stacked
01:15:849 (2,3,4,5,6) - Slider slightly bent upwards? (Not sure if intentional or not)

My intent was not a bribe, but rather trying to display that i was not trying to be greedy ''getting more of your time''.

Consider putting some nice combo colours

00:14:015 (1,2,3) - i recommend you to fill these empty red ticks, intensity and drums here are pretty strong

00:14:682 (3,4) - try to make a stream like you did before on this sound

00:19:349 (1,2,3) - same here with the filling ticks stuff
00:22:015 (1,2,3) - ^
try to identify these empty places by yourself, most of the time is good to map them

00:32:015 (1) - i would NC here

00:33:349 (9,10) - i think you should leave (9) as a circle and start a stream on next red tick, to emphasize drums

00:58:349 (2,3,4,5,6,7,1,2,3,4,5,6) - these should be 1/3 instead of 1/4, i recommend you to put two repeated 1/3 sliders and the rest a stream to make the player know a bit what he's playin(the same for the next one later on the map)

01:00:349 (1,2) - i recommend you to make this a slider, those 2 hits aren't strong enough to deserve clickables

01:15:849 (2) - this should be just a circle imo, it's a bit uncomfortable to play with the next stream

01:24:849 (1,2) - i would switch these, circle first, slider 2nd, makes it more comfortable to play following the vocals here

01:30:015 (1) - same as before, but here i would cut this slider to the red tick and start another one on white tick

01:39:015 (3,4) - i would make (3) a 1/2 slider instead of the next one

02:02:014 (7) - try to extend this slider to next blue tick, you do the same on next streams and it's more comfortable to play

That's all i can say, most of things are general advice so try to keep them with you for future maps, if you gonna make something with this streams intensity i would map almost every sound that i encounter with, so the map is better representative

Though there are some things there i dont agree with since i went out of my way to put em there (example the pauses early on)....
I have to say: Most of what you wrote was really good.
The changes to the 1/3 tempo for those two streams were REALLY nice finds. I had no idea, just figured the last beat was derp but it always sounded weird.
Swapping those two (only happens twice in the entire song), made a huge difference and now it just works.
Weird how the last two beats are a lil different both times however...But it's a lot more on point now non the less!

The slider who was to short in the first kiai was repeated in the second kiai and it was a 100% error. All the streams start on white ticks and that's how it should have been, another great find. Tyvm!

The small changes to slider/circle swaps was also good in general for the reasons you said, better vocal mapping.
I only wish you wrote more since what you've written was overall really good even if i did not choose to act upon all your thoughts and points :)

  1. 00:14:682 (3,4) - this is ur highest difficulty (well the only 1 atm lol) but you ignore the notes here that could be a nice stream if you pay close attention to it and I feel it is too noticeable for this extra diff to not have it mapped (this isn't the only one)
  2. 00:14:182 - why are you avoiding to map the red ticks? no matter what your trying to do it just looks undermapped when I feel that I should be clicking the guitar sounds right there - you will still have the same effect you were going for if you have a note 00:14:182 - stack under 00:14:015 (1) - and another 00:14:515 - stack under 00:14:349 (2) -
    you have more than this but I only pointing out this 1 since you basically have the idea by now
  3. 00:28:515 (2) - this just looks weird and flow quite awkward - move it down or just use X: 385 Y:95 (adjustments will be needed)
  4. 00:33:515 - to here 00:33:932 - is the same deal as before but way more noticeable - please make a stream here

if you're thinking about ranking this then imma just stomp over that
the rhythms are tbh pretty awful. it's not some complicated 6/17 time signature that requires 1% slowdown to understand the rhythm. try to emphasize the main melody more by landing important sounds like downbeats on clickable things (slider heads, circles) etc. you got the 1/3 rhythm down, now get the 1/4.
the aesthetics aren't exactly stellar either. something something broken dick sliders something something. you also seem to be confused on how to properly mirror and rotate sliders.

I honestly like when the feedback is harsh and on point. If something is wrong it should be pointed out so it can be fixed.
That said, your way of giving feedback is kinda childish/rude?

What you're pointing out and suggestion on ''how to fix'' are really good overall but with your choise of words and ''attitude'' behind it makes the overall modding feel a lot worse.

If you want someone to learn/improve, insulting them is never a great opion.

Non the less i thank you for the effort placed in my song and i have started to take action upon your honestly great points.
Just a damn shame you cant behave :D

Also...I'll never ever use Ctrl+Shift+F!! Hand made streams have a charm that the tool cant match! Even if it's uneven and uggly.

Hi! you requested a mod from my queue!
But this mod will be different from all the ones i have made, since im gonna explain you some problems that you have on the map.

first, with some general things:

1. Put your default sample settings on Drum, it will sound better for the map.
2. You should really check AiMod, because you have a lot of unsnapped objects and other problems with the kiai
3. your background doesnt have the correct size, so you should resize it to the recommended one (1366x768)
4. The song needs an easy, normal, hard and insane difficulties, since isnt 5 minutes long to be a marathon

besides that, you have other problems in the map that i would like to explain. I will divide all the problems on different boxes, so its easier for you to read them

Jumps
Some of your jumps are pretty much... "basic", with this i mean that the just go in a horizontal/vertical direction, and that makes it kinda boring, i can use 00:02:015 (1,2,3,4,5) - 00:04:682 (1,2,3,4,5) as examples of it, they are pretty much the same way, they go to the same direction and it really doesnt have much variation, making it kinda boring. If you have the time, try making the jumps different from each other, changing the directions of several jumps.

As other example, 00:12:682 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) and 00:15:349 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8). Pretty much the same thing, not very attractive. You need to improve them to make the map more attractive and fun to play.

Streams
Previous modders have talked about this. Your streams doesnt look that good.
i know we talked about your thought about it, saying that you like doing the streams by hand, but the problem is that it will not look good.
Streams, for example, such as 00:12:015 (2,3,4,5,6) - 00:14:682 (5,6,7,8,9) - 01:50:349 (3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) or 01:55:682 (3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) dont look that good because problems while putting the circles by hand, making them look weird and not flowing well with the song.

thats why Ctrl+Shift+F exist, to make them look good and nice and attractive. Using it will not make things worse, i promise.

And now, some things that are kinda easy to fix:

00:59:349 (5,6) - this part sounds and feels very weird, the transition between the slider and the circle doesnt look good, so end the slider at 00:59:849 and move the circle to 01:00:015.

00:38:349 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - give this circles the same spacing between them, and try to make them look like a perfect asterisk

01:13:182 (2,3,4,5,6) - polish this so it can look more like a star

Hi, I said i would take a look at this map so here we go Please take everything i say with a grain of salt as i don't have much experience. Just gonna give my thoughts. Sorry if it's a bad mod.

  • 00:02:849 (6,3) - I think these 2 should be extended sliders as they dont end on a sound in the first place, and i think it would feel better. 00:04:349 (6) - Here the short slider length makes sense, as the guitar sound isn't held.
    00:06:682 (2) - Is this slider ending on a stronger sound than the sliderhead? imo i would replace slider with two circles. i may be wrong. If you're gonna keep the slider i would make it curved or have a red anchor as the guitar is doing a different thing.
    Just gonna point out that it seems your slider angles are a bit random, and it makes the map as a whole look a bit like a mess. 00:10:849 (6,3) - For example these 2 could be parallell or mirrored.
    00:11:849 (1,2) - I would remove NC on 1, and put NC on 2.
    00:14:682 (5) - NC
    00:16:349 (7,8) - I dunno if stack is supposed to look like that, but i would make it perfect stack like the others.
    00:16:682 (1,2) - Again these should be mirrored or parallell.
    As i'm looking at the map i can see that you only use straight sliders for the first section. That is fine and all to be consistent, but it can get repetitive and boring. I would mix up the slider shapes a bit when you hear the song is doing something different or interesting.
    00:18:015 (1,2,3,4) - This looks good. Don't be afraid to copy paste
    00:20:015 (5) - NC
    00:21:682 (7,8) - On the first 6 circles the music is doing pretty much the same thing, but here it changes a bit. I would do something else with these 2 circles.
    00:23:015 (5,1) - I would put stream into 1
    00:38:349 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Here i would make 1,2,3 spacing gradually go higher, and 4,5,6 gradually get lower.
    00:34:849 (4,3) - I think blanket here would look nice
    00:45:349 (2) - NC
    00:45:849 (5,6) - Kinda wierd to go from sharp angles to an angle like that
    00:47:349 (2) - I would make it extended slider to emphasise vocals, or you could ditch 3 as the vocals are being followed and are most important
    00:48:682 (1,2) - I'm not sure what youre following here, youre kinda following vocals, but not fully. Same with guitar. Maybe make 1 long slider, and put NC on slider spam afterwards as it's following a different part of the music.
    00:50:682 (1) - Remove NC
    00:58:349 (2) - NC
    00:59:349 (5) - NC00:59:349 (5,6)
    00:59:349 (5,6) - This is awkward to play, but im sure youre aware
    00:59:932 (6,1) - One is not readable, since 6 ends on blue tick
    01:00:349 (1,2) - Maybe make this a slider instead?
    01:03:015 (3) - NC, remove NC on 1 after
    01:09:349 (5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - This is off-timed, add a seperate timing section (ctrl + p).
    01:15:849 (2) - This starts on weaker sound and ends on strong sound. put circle on 2 instead
    The map uses alot of wide angles, which is technically fine, but generally this is uncomfortable for players to play. I would use more sharp angles, and use wider angles when the spacing is lower, or you feel like it makes sense etc. The things i mentioned above repeat themselves, like NC, slidershapes and angles, visual consistency etc, so im not gonna go deeper into that Keep in mind i may be wrong about some of the things i mention, so take what you want from it. I think the most important thing about a map is the rhythm, and how we express the song as best as possible. This is a territory i'm not an expert on myself, but i will try to point out what i would do differently rhythm wise.

    01:17:515 (3,4) - I would extend 3 to red tick, and remove 4. The 4 doesn't deserve to be clicked
    01:18:015 (1,2,3,4) - I'm not sure what i would do here as the vocals are contradicting the instruments. 1,2 is fine, 3 i would maybe replace with two circles, and start slider on blue tick. That would mean a double though which is awkward to play. Maybe replace 3 with one circle at start, and start next slider on red tick? I'm not sure about this one, but i think it could be better
    01:21:015 (8,9) - I would maybe start following the guitar at 8, this would'nt follow the vocals perfectly but i think its best

    As i'm looking at the map i can see that you only use straight sliders for the first section. That is fine and all to be consistent, but it can get repetitive and boring. I would mix up the slider shapes a bit when you hear the song is doing something different or interesting.
    00:18:015 (1,2,3,4) - This looks good. Don't be afraid to copy paste
    00:20:015 (5) - NC
    00:21:682 (7,8) - On the first 6 circles the music is doing pretty much the same thing, but here it changes a bit. I would do something else with these 2 circles.
    00:23:015 (5,1) - I would put stream into 1
    00:38:349 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Here i would make 1,2,3 spacing gradually go higher, and 4,5,6 gradually get lower.
    00:34:849 (4,3) - I think blanket here would look nice
    00:45:349 (2) - NC
    00:45:849 (5,6) - Kinda wierd to go from sharp angles to an angle like that
    00:47:349 (2) - I would make it extended slider to emphasise vocals, or you could ditch 3 as the vocals are being followed and are most important
    00:48:682 (1,2) - I'm not sure what youre following here, youre kinda following vocals, but not fully. Same with guitar. Maybe make 1 long slider, and put NC on slider spam afterwards as it's following a different part of the music.
    00:50:682 (1) - Remove NC
    00:58:349 (2) - NC
    00:59:349 (5) - NC00:59:349 (5,6)
    00:59:349 (5,6) - This is awkward to play, but im sure youre aware
    00:59:932 (6,1) - One is not readable, since 6 ends on blue tick
    01:00:349 (1,2) - Maybe make this a slider instead?
    01:03:015 (3) - NC, remove NC on 1 after
    01:09:349 (5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - This is off-timed, add a seperate timing section (ctrl + p).
    01:15:849 (2) - This starts on weaker sound and ends on strong sound. put circle on 2 instead
    The map uses alot of wide angles, which is technically fine, but generally this is uncomfortable for players to play. I would use more sharp angles, and use wider angles when the spacing is lower, or you feel like it makes sense etc. The things i mentioned above repeat themselves, like NC, slidershapes and angles, visual consistency etc, so im not gonna go deeper into that Keep in mind i may be wrong about some of the things i mention, so take what you want from it. I think the most important thing about a map is the rhythm, and how we express the song as best as possible. This is a territory i'm not an expert on myself, but i will try to point out what i would do differently rhythm wise.

    01:17:515 (3,4) - I would extend 3 to red tick, and remove 4. The 4 doesn't deserve to be clicked
    01:18:015 (1,2,3,4) - I'm not sure what i would do here as the vocals are contradicting the instruments. 1,2 is fine, 3 i would maybe replace with two circles, and start slider on blue tick. That would mean a double though which is awkward to play. Maybe replace 3 with one circle at start, and start next slider on red tick? I'm not sure about this one, but i think it could be better
    01:21:015 (8,9) - I would maybe start following the guitar at 8, this would'nt follow the vocals perfectly but i think its best

I think it was a rather good mod.
Some of the points are heavily influenced by your opinions on how to map, wich is rather great, even if they clash with the way i read/see the song when i mapped it.
The difference in viewpoint is refreshing since it makes me rethink and revalue the decissions i made during the mapping process.


Thoughts and feedback to your mod
I did not act on all of your notes due to them, as said, clashing to much with how i saw the song.
Mainly how i wanted to swap into a drum sound or follow X instrument to the point where you suggested something in the oposit direction.

But there were a few points i did act upon and found really usefull.
Mainly the NC's....I know my NC's overall are messy haha! So a full list of those would actually help me tons since my mentality around NC is rather poor.
A lot of your comments on ''why is this not two clicks isntead of slider'' were rather great. Example the 00:04:349 point. It works a lot better as clicks.

There were a few points i did not understand though, for example the 00:16:349 comment about the stack? To me they look just like all the other stacks.
Also the 00:23:015 comment, i think i know what you're trying to say due to the drums keeps going all the way into the one -> But the way i mapped it was to maintain the clicking focus of the guitarr while having it stay more true towards the drums. That said -> Not entirely sure what you ment with ''I would put stream into 1''.

Also the timing point comment at 01:09:349, i did not really understand that one either. Since, to me, it's on point?
I have a timing point after this section just before the verse since othervise the metronome would be off.


Your comment about the 00:45:849 was great aswell. I changed the way the pattern flows and it feels better now.

And yh...The akward part at 00:59:349, not much i can do about that one. I followed the drum and wont change it due to just that.
The drummer is doing that akward timing, and so am I.

This map is awesome, it's jumpy and speedy. You can deem this as ready to publish but this will give you around 200pp with no mods which is a bit OP. When ready for ranking, maybe you nerf it a bit? :idea: This is the best beat map I have seen so far and have so much hope for it! :D

Queen is wip atm, it will be harder than king :) Already is atm. Just because the star rate is the way it is does not mean anything.
That said
The song is about a fantasy in midieval times. During those it was common that the king was seen as the ''icon of power'' and the leader of a nation.
Thus it would make sense, from a historical point of view, to have these names.

But in all honesty, i just found it funny to name the diffs as i made em King>Queen>Prince. etc etc.
