concerning snowstorm diff.
would be coll if u could fix the offset since theres no way you can set a local offset at the beginning of the map.
-> all notes are placed too late. since od10 timing windows are 300 +-19.5ms 100 +-60ms a good guess is about 35-40ms earlier would be correct.
EDIT: editing the beatmap and testing offsets you should change it to 1.733 timing is correct then.

offset on freezing diff to 1.827
offset on insane to 1.733 as well
offset on ice age 1.733
offset on normal 1.733

IDK what you did on freezing so that the offest would be different from all the other corrections but im pretty sure the offset i stated i correct.

Awesome beatmap and the song is great too. I really like how you made harder difficulties because there aren't too many maps out there with more than 5 stars. Keep up the good work and can't wait to see this ranked.

Nice map too, but why do snowstorm has a different offset? It's 1.733 everywhere except on snowstorm where it's 1.793 so we have to use -60ms as local offset, then it perfectly fit the music.

Just my personal taste, but I liked the old beginning section on Freezing a lot better. It feels too dense now.

Edit: You know, after playing it a few times I take it back. The new part is fine, I just like the map too much :)

you should probably fix the metadata on title (remove the Nightcore - from the actual title, so it will just read as NightcoreFC (artist) - Cold as Ice (title))

that's just my advice though you don't have to take it i just downloaded this randomly from a mp room lol

Really an amazing map. Tried few difficulties up to 4.5* and i liked them all especially 4.5* one. Any updates in when it is gonna be ranked?

OD 6 on the Insane seems a bit low. I'd consider trying OD 6.5 at least. While I hope you keep it at OD 6 for the sake of free pp (lol), it doesn't really feel fitting of an Insane. I normally can't acc anything (read: 91.66% avg acc) and this feels way too forgiving for an Insane.

This difficulty seemed to flow well in general and was intuitive to play, but I feel like you may need to take a look at what's been emphasized with your spacing.
e.g. 02:18:983 (8) - this could possibly be a larger jump? the growl on the vocals starts here if you're following vocals
a lot of jumps feel over-spaced, I'll try go through and point some out soon

From the Ranking Criteria rules:
A difficulty's name must indicate its level of difficulty, with the exception of the hardest level of difficulty in a set. The mapset's hardest difficulty may use an appropriate custom difficulty name, unrelated to a username. Mapsets may also use a complete set of custom difficulty names that clearly indicate their level of difficulty to the player. Marathon maps with a single difficulty may use free naming.
So I think you'll need to rename Normal/Insane/Extra if you want to use a full set of custom difficulty names. Could possibly go with Warm->Fine->Cool->Chilly->Cold->Snow->Snowstorm->Freezing->Frozen which I think has some decent progression.

Also the game settings (CS, OD, AR, HP) don't consistently become harder as the difficulties become harder. I'd strongly suggest lowering the OD on Normal, and the AR on both Normal and Infamous Hype.

Frozen feels much harder than Insane, though unfortunately star rating doesn't think so even with OD 9 (which is probably too high :P). Not sure how you want to deal with this, possibly increase the overall spacing a bit in Frozen or nerf the overall spacing in Insane? Ranking criterita unfortunately needs a consistent spread of actual difficulty and not just star rating.

[my failed attempt at a mod]

on the normal difficulty:

i think that the difficulty settings need to be altered a bit, the AR is too high for a normal level (practically impossible to use HRDT, and the level is only 2.2*), and i thought the level seemed better with the circle size at 3.3

here is how i think it would do the best-
HP drain-5
circle cize-3.3
approach rate-6.5
overall difficulty 5.5

at 0:26 i thought that the slider velocity increase was unnecessary, you should decrease the slider velocity a bit and shorten the slider (to keep the same rhythm).

I also though the very beginning of the map had a poor music syncing, consider changing that a bit of fit the song better.

finally-the very last 3 circles are unnecessary as the song ends, i recommend deleting those last 3 circles.

Actually the map is not bad, but there is still few stuffs that needs to be changed before reaching the ranking process. But I'm sure that with some works, the map can be ranked :)

I'm very busy with school atm but i try to bring out much updates as i can. hope i can find some time for the map next weekend.

That, and the buildup section near the end of the map for Freezing is LITERALLY overkill. The rest of the map wasn't as hard as that.

I was bored and played through each diff. I haven't really modded before, so sorry if some of them are lazy. Overall, I really loved all of the maps. The only issues I really noticed were the timing and spacing of some notes. LMK if you need anything clarified.

Normal

00:32:858 (1) - Slider ends too late. Should end on white beat
00:34:170 (1) - Slider doesn't match song at all
01:35:295 (1) - Should start at 01:35:483
02:32:858 (1) - Should be a note at 02:32:858 and then spinner at 02:33:233. Also, the ending of the spinner should be moved or muted. It's really off-beat

Infamous Hype

00:31:545 (7) - Slider should end at 00:32:108 to match pattern
02:11:295 (6,7,8,9) - 7 should be after 8 to match pattern
02:36:045 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1) - Start all of them on white beats. This timing is just a mess

Frozen

00:25:920 (4) - Timing is off. Should be 1/3

02:24:608 (1,2,3,4,5) - 1+2 aren't stacked but 4+5 are... doesn't make sense

Towards the end, the jump difficulty seemingly increases out of nowhere. I'd recommend either making them a bit closer together or easing into them slower and not doing as many cross-screen jumps.

Also, just in general, the spacing during jump sections seems to fluctuate randomly. One line of the song will be half as spaced as the next line without any purpose really. I'd recommend trying to make your spacing consistent for each chorus, still having the last chorus be larger.

Maybe you could add "Remix by nightcoreFC" for the Source (I'm also making remix by nightcoreFC so it'll be better to find the nightcoreFC's remix, i'm gonne send you in Private message the youtube links of the 2 remix I'm mapping, but maybe i'll map other music remixed by nightcoreFC)

I'm not a pro-map make but think there's some problems:

For the Normal difficulty the snap distance often change but i heard that the snap distance mustn't change in easy, normal and Hard difficulties.
But sometimes you can keep the snap distance

00:22:358 (4,5) - Thoses objects are close and we think it a 1/4 timing or it's a 1/2 timing.
00:56:295 (2) - You can keep this slider as well but personaly i don't like his designe *^^*

Personaly i don't like the normal-Whistle sound: i don't think it goes well with the music, instead of it you can use the normal-Clap or any other soft and drum additions (If you don't know how to find it, I tell you that's at left of the editor but I think you know how to find it ^^). Warning the drum's sampleset and drum's additions don't do sound in taiko.

It may be cool to have an Hard difficulty on this my (I know that there's the Hyper difficulty but i'm training on Hyper and 4* Insane difficulties and the hyper is too hard for me because of the HP and the stream :? )

In the Hyper (Infamous Hype)
I saw some long combo. There's a problem because we have problem to regenerate the stamina if we fail on 2/3 notes or if we do some 100

Try as much as possible to set the start of the combo before / on a slider (If you set a combo before a slider, the object must close to the slider (between x0 and x1 snap). Try to get the combo between 6 and 8, 10 is the maximum for this kind of difficulty. And remember: the combo don't follow the music, combo is a way to get some HP.

Also I don't know if the sliders are to mutch faster or not but you must check that. (Check that carefully on the sliders with reverse arrow)

I'm not a pro-map make but think there's some problems:

For the Normal difficulty the snap distance often change but i heard that the snap distance mustn't change in easy, normal and Hard difficulties.
But sometimes you can keep the snap distance

00:22:358 (4,5) - Thoses objects are close and we think it a 1/4 timing or it's a 1/2 timing. gap is now larger
00:56:295 (2) - You can keep this slider as well but personaly i don't like his designe *^^*

Personaly i don't like the normal-Whistle sound: i don't think it goes well with the music, instead of it you can use the normal-Clap or any other soft and drum additions (If you don't know how to find it, I tell you that's at left of the editor but I think you know how to find it ^^). Warning the drum's sampleset and drum's additions don't do sound in taiko.

Why don't you set the CS at 3 ? I think it'll be better for the new players to play on CS 3 than CS 3.3
Maybe the Ar is better at 5 ?

I think HP 5 is too high because i see HP between 3 and 4 on each normal map i see ranked.

It may be cool to have an Hard difficulty on this my (I know that there's the Hyper difficulty but i'm training on Hyper and 4* Insane difficulties and the hyper is too hard for me because of the HP and the stream :? )

Hey, i just played Extra diff and noticed some things. There are a lot of places with combo higher than 10. IMO this diff looks better without two numbers in any circle. There some places where I think would great to add NC:
00:06:608 (8) - 00:09:233 (7) - 00:12:608 (9) - 00:26:858 (9) - 00:31:733 (6) - 00:35:295 (8) - 00:39:795 (9) - 00:44:295 (7) - 01:00:983 (7) - 01:51:983 (6) - 02:07:733 (7) - 02:12:608 (7) - 02:38:576 (1) - 02:53:483 (7) - 03:02:858 (8) - 03:05:858 (1)
Also after changing NC-s you should make HP higher, from 5 to 5.5 or 6.
Few other diffs have the same problem, but I played the most Extra one just this diff is good for my level.

Also another few things:
01:42:608 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1,2,3,4,5,6) - I think there will more comfortable to play if you'll make each next circle at an angle like this:
02:43:732 (3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - i think this place needs more balance in spacing between circles, it's extremely awkward to read intuitively these jumps, don't forget about flow.

Sorry for short mod but I have noticed only these places. Good luck in ranking, fun map :)
