As requested by
mingmichael, I'm coming for a Taiko mod ~
Let's go :3
Blue~ Critical issues. You must fix thisPurple~ It's better to fix thisPink~ Suggestions only. Change only if you want toGrey~ Explanations of my suggestions-----------------------
[
Oni]
• 01:17:114 ( 387~418 ) - I personally discourage this kind of o O o O loop, as it is not easy to hit all the finishes properly, widening the diff spread. This also makes this section fixed to certain simpler hitsound patterns. Not a must to change, just saying I don't prefer this.
Suggested patternsHere are the minor suggestions of patterns / hitsounds.
It's your own choice whether to follow these suggestions.00:01:281 ( 3 ) -
Blue note ?
( It has higher pitch than 4, and 3~7 sounds like kdkkd imo )00:03:947 ( 10~13 ) -
o o o o ?
( 10~13 is a falling pitch, and imo kkdd can balance the equal speed of pitch drop well )00:34:947 ( 164~166 ) -
o o o ?
( As the vocal starts becoming less dense in this section, I think following the pitch of vocal will be a nice idea :3 )00:35:614 ( 167~169 ) -
o o o ?
( Same reason )00:40:280 ( 192~198 ) -
o o o o ooo ?
( Same reason )00:44:947 ( 218~222 ) - Change to
this ? Keep 219 with finish.
( Would like to see hitsounds following the pitch here because they're the major vocals in this music )00:55:947 ( 283~284 ) -
O o ?
( Same reason )00:51:780 ( 260 ) -
Blue note ?
( The vocal from 259 extends to 260, and then gets lower at 261. So k k d fits better )00:54:280 ( 273 ) -
Blue note ?
( It has an even higher pitch than 272 & 273, so I'd say k fits a lot better here )00:57:947 ( 294~309 ) - Try
this ?
( 294~297 : For structural consistency. You didn't start a section with 3-plets before. 300~302, 305~309 : For fitting the pitch of vocal better )01:02:947 ( 325 ) -
Blue note ?
( It has the same pitch as 326, so k k should fit better )01:06:614 ( 345~379 ) - Try
this ?
( This suggestion is just following vocal. It fits quite well imo. See if you like this :3 )01:24:280 ( 424~426 ) -
o o o ?
( Just following vocal pitch ) Overall nice diff :3
Good usage of hitsounds, but I personally don't like that o O o O section

Muzukashii]
• 01:06:614 ( 288~345 ) - I'll say it's better to make one section ( 01:16:614 before or after ) vary the other section. Currently this could be quite repetitive and possibly considered as boring to play ?
Suggested patternsHere are the minor suggestions of patterns / hitsounds. It's your own choice whether to follow these suggestions.
00:01:281 ( 3 ) - Blue note ? ( Same as oni. See oni's box for explanation )
00:03:947 ( 10~13 ) - o o o o ? ( Also same as oni )
00:10:780 ( 18~23 ) - o o o o o o ? ( Fitting the instrumental pitch better )
00:32:447 ( 121 ) - Blue note ? ( It has the same level of pitch as 120 and 122, so k will keep the consistency better )
01:24:280 ( 350~352 ) - o o o ? ( Just following vocal pitch )
Overall ok.
Hitsounds are also nice, but again it's better to add some variations for that finishes part.

Futsuu]
• imo SV 1.0 could be a sudden drop from muzu. This looks so slow when compared with muzu. Maybe use SV 1.2 ?
• 00:10:280 ( 8 ) - Delete this note ?
( I guess new players won't feel comfortable about this note which does not follow a significant beat )• 00:12:947 ( 16 ) - ^
( Same reason )Suggested patternsHere are the minor suggestions of patterns / hitsounds. It's your own choice whether to follow these suggestions.
Yeah I know the suggestions are quite minor, so just take those you want.
00:01:281 ( 3 ) - Blue note ? ( Same as oni. See oni's box for explanation )
00:03:947 ( 9 ) - Blue note ? ( Also for fitting vocal pitch )
00:12:114 ( 14 ) - Blue note ? ( 13~15 have a higher level of guitar pitch than 9~12, so using all k for them can show the pitch difference better )
00:13:280 ( 17 ) - Add finish ? ( Here's the start of a new song section. Background music is also strong enough to justify this finish )
00:20:447 ( 36 ) - Blue note ? ( It has the same level of pitch as 35 so using both k fit better imo )
00:31:114 ( 64 ) - ^ ( Same reason )
00:48:947 ( 9 ) - Red note ? ( 8~10 is a falling pitch, but 8~9 has a more significant drop. So imo k d d are better representations of music )
00:59:614 ( 36 ) - ^ ( Same reason )
00:49:947 ( 11~16 ) - o o o ooo / o o o o o ? ( Fitting the vocal pitch. Use the 2nd one if you don't want kkd 1/2 mentioned below )
00:51:947 ( 17~20 ) - o ooo / o o o ? ( Corresponds to the above suggestion. Use 1st / 2nd one if you use 1st / 2nd for the above suggestion )
00:54:280 ( 24, 25 ) - o o ? ( See if you want to follow vocal here )
00:55:280 ( 26~28 ) - o o o ? ( Following vocal, which fits 29~31 and the suggestions below )
01:00:614 ( 38~43 ) - o o o ooo / o o o o o ? ( Fitting the vocal pitch. Use the 2nd one if you don't want kkd 1/2 )
01:02:614 ( 44~47 ) - o ooo / o o o ? ( Corresponds to the above suggestion again )
Diff is fine overall ~

Kantan]
• As mentioned in futsuu, to avoid big speed changes throughout the diffs, maybe try SV 1.0 ?
• imo this diff is too hard to be considered as a kantan, due to the complex note rhythm. I'd suggest the following to simplify a bit :
Click me00:07:614 ( 1 ) - Delete this. ( In kantan, there should be more spacing between sliders and notes, or else new players don't have time to react )
00:12:947 ( 12 ) - ^ ( In kantan, note rhythm should be simple and intuitive enough )
00:23:114 ( 31, 32 ) - ^ ( Again, the beats are probably not intuitive enough for new players, as 30 is already a new rhythm for new players. )
00:33:780 ( 51, 52 ) - ^ ( See 31 )
00:44:614 ( 69, 70 ) - ^ ( I think they're unnecessarily misleading. Usually starting with the main beat is enough for kantan )
00:55:280 ( 89, 90 ) - ^ ( It's better to let the players rest a bit and rebuild their rhythm sense here )
01:05:947 ( 108, 109 ) - ^ ( See 69 )
01:16:614 ( 128, 129 ) - ^ ( See 89 )
Suggested patternsHere are the minor suggestions of patterns / hitsounds. It's your own choice whether to follow these suggestions.
00:12:447 ( 11 ) - Blue note ? ( It has even higher pitch than 10, so k fits a lot better imo )
00:22:447 ( 30 ) - Add finish ? ( The background drum is strong enough to justify a finish )
00:33:114 ( 50 ) - ^ ( Same reason )
00:45:280 ( 71 ) - ^
I know having such simple patterns will not fit the song well
But as the easiest diff, I think it's necessary to guarantee it's newbie-friendly enough
-----------------------
This mapset should be ready to go after fixing, esp when kantan is simplified
Star and good luck ~
