I tested this problem with azer467. It's an issue with the cutting-edge build because it runs perfectly fine on Stable.

The issue is the unique SV i used for this particular blanket pattern. I calculated this SV to set up a triangular pattern with the slider-end or 00:03:692 (1) - and 00:03:384 (5,6) - . Also, this triangular structure carries on towards the next jump pattern.

Problem is that on cutting-edge, an additional slider-tick appears right at the end of the slider. I think this is due to the weird SV i picked (0.6875 or something near that value) which on the Timing Panel, will be rounded to 0.69x. (0.69 is not the actual value, the Timing Panel simply cannot display decimal values past 2 decimal places).

This is definitely a problem with cutting-edge as the slider-tick does not appear on the "stable" osu! platform. Furthermore, the slider-end is not unsnapped even by 1ms, which is the only other issue I could think of that could create this problem. AiMod cannot detect 1ms unsnapped issues, but AiBat can. But AiBat did not find any issue.

The only other explanation I can think of is the slider-end being unsnapped by a very obscure and extremely small 0.49 to 0.51 ms value and "stable" and "cutting-edge" deciding to round to different 1ms values (up vs down) resulting in this change.

looks like it might be caused by this..? 00:03:692 (1) - (slider tick on the end of the slider)

move the slider end and replace it, that will fix it.

Problem is that on cutting-edge, an additional slider-tick appears right at the end of the slider. I think this is due to the weird SV i picked (0.6875 or something near that value) which on the Timing Panel, will be rounded to 0.69x. (0.69 is not the actual value, the Timing Panel simply cannot display decimal values past 2 decimal places).

This is definitely a problem with cutting-edge as the slider-tick does not appear on the "stable" osu! platform. Furthermore, the slider-end is not unsnapped even by 1ms, which is the only other issue I could think of that could create this problem. AiMod cannot detect 1ms unsnapped issues, but AiBat can. But AiBat did not find any issue.

The only other explanation I can think of is the slider-end being unsnapped by a very obscure and extremely small 0.49 to 0.51 ms value and "stable" and "cutting-edge" deciding to round to different 1ms values (up vs down) resulting in this change.

This is 100% fine on stable so I won't attempt to try and fix it. Go go rank!!

Cuttingedge is actually the correct behaviour; the slider's length is a bit messed up, and rerunning slider calculations fixes it. Stable is a bit less accurate and a bit less picky, so it works correctly there.

I'll try to talk to Tom about this, but I think the map will have to be DQ'd.

The only maps affected by this are ones with sliders that are unsnapped by less than 1ms. They don't seem to be very common at all, fortunately, but there are probably some other ones out there.

I'm actually surprised this seems to be a relevant issue now :S.

This affects another one of my maps too: https://osu.ppy.sh/s/289074 The last slider will always give you a 100 on cutting edge, and unfortunately this map is quite popular among top ranked (DT) players too lol.

Issues like these didn't occur until very recently, I'm guessing after the changes by tom94 to slider-ticks August 18 and onwards.

DQ'ing this map isn't going to fix the slider-tick issue that has only very recently surfaced.

Same concept lol. Title and artist displays the previewed song, and the second song is used in tags. The only difference is that I intentionally filled the first 20 tags with GD names and kancolle tags so the "ai no scenario" "magic kaito 1412" tags will not appear on the online listings. Only the first 20 tags are displayed on the beatmap listing page. If QAT's disagree with this strongly enough, they have my permission to edit the tags and have all Ai no Scenario related tags in the first 20 tags. This will not require a DQ because QAT's can edit online tags without necessitating a DQ for me to re-upload.

But there is something I'm worried more... why in Ultra Beginner the mod multiplicators are ignored in std and ctb? I never have seen something like that before... The set uses customs for a lot of the difficulties and they sound quite good (toybot's Insane, pishi's Extra, Kyshiro's Extra)
But others use mostly defaults (Tatoe, Nathan's Insane, Sharkie's Insane, sheela's Very Hard, Hard, Smoothie World's Extra, Walao's Advanced, Extra, Normal, Yuistrata's easy).
The soft whistle, soft clap combination going on sounds really bad, especially during the last kiai.

If you're wanting to have a mix of custom hitsounding and traditional hitsounding, use ktgster's difficulty as a reference for when using mostly defaults. It sounds nice.
Also be careful when using hitsound copiers! Maps have different densities, and sometimes a clap that sounds appropriate in one won't sound good in the other!

So when this gets moved back to fix the slider shenanigans, don't forget to fix the hitsounding.

... oh and uh, change the background from PNG to JPG, it's bigger than the mp3.

Well, it's supposed to mislead people xD.

Seeing as tom94 has fixed the slider-tick issue by widening the window from <1ms to 10ms the slider-tick issue should no longer be an issue.

If this does get DQ'ed for some non meta-data related issue i'll probably just redo the hitsounding myself, thanks Charles, even tho Lach's intentions were really that i didn't use custom "Ta" "To" "Eh" hitsounds for the Tatoe change lol.
