  1. Check AI Mod, your timing points aren't consistent.
  2. What's up with those Taiko difficulty names? Not sure if that's rankable.
  3. Remove "golden time", "堀江由衣" and "horie yui" from tags since they're already listed in the metadata and maybe add "opening" and "ゴールデンタイム"
  4. Disable widescreen support on all difficulties since you don't have a storyboard.
[Insane]

  • Needs a lot of work so I'll just try to provide the basics. Doesn't look like there's much flow in here.
  1. There's so many empty spots that could easily be mapped to make the rhythm better such as 00:18:500 and 00:22:500. You can clearly hear that something's there so why not map it?
  2. 00:16:000 (5) - Too many switches for a 1/2 slider, not fun. Change to something else?
  3. 00:22:000 (3) - Strange placement. Maybe just do something like this?
  4. 00:22:750 (1,2) - This might match the music better
  5. 00:23:750 (1,2) - Better flow could be made if you switched these two on the timeline and moved the triplet after it somewhere else.
  6. 00:27:250 (1) - Replace with a 1/2 slider
  7. 00:31:000 - Add a circle here so catch that vocal.
  8. 00:38:000 (2) - Awkward flow, and it'd probably sound better as two 1/2 sliders or a repeating 1/2 slider. You could try something like this.
  9. 00:43:250 (4,5) - Delete (5), make (4) a 1/2 slider and add a circle at 00:43:750.
  10. 00:56:250 (3) - Move to ~ (275, 318) for symmetry.
  11. 00:56:500 (4,5,6,7,8) - Try this instead?
  12. 00:58:000 (8) - Remove finish and add one at 00:59:250 (1).
  13. 00:59:750 (3,4,5,6) - Sounds better to do something like this because you get something on all the vocals.

  • I think you simplified the rhythm of this difficulty way too much,

On the timeline move (2) to where (3) is and move (3) to where (2) was previously at, switch over any hitsounds if necessary. This would create better flow than what you previously had probably.

For the Taiko difficulties you should put [something relating to the the user of the GD]'s [Difficulty]
Ex: "Damager's Muzukashii" and "Damager's Oni"
You should probably talk with The_Damager and find something you guys both agree on.

  1. Take this 1366*768 BG. Current one has a weird dimension of 1365*768.
  2. Add a 2000 ms Audio Lead-in manually for EVERY diff. It's shorter than a second now.
    Procedures
    1. Click 'File' > 'Open .osu in notepad'.

    2. Change '0' to the '2000'.

  3. Snap these green sections:
    1. 00:10:551 to 00:10:497
    2. 00:11:125 to 00:11:097
  4. Map the prelude please, the song is already very short imo.
  5. I think you better find a pro to check your timing, it's kind of off in the prelude.

Insane

  1. Check the AI-mod. There are many unsnapped objects.
  2. 01:19:250 - Delete this redundant green line.
  3. Frankly speaking, AR9 doesn't fit the song, no matter the way u place notes and sliders or the BPM of the song. AR8 is fine enough.
  4. 00:08:397 (1) - Start this slider at 00:08:247 where there's solid vocal compared to current timepoint, also extend it to 00:10:647.

  15. Some general suggestions:
    1. Combo usage
    Make the combo pattern consistent throughout the whole diff, for example, place NC every 1/2 big white tick. As you can see in your diff, sometimes you start at red tick (00:13:497 (1)), sometimes white tick (00:14:747 (1)). Any intention behind?
    2. Slider shape
    If you intend to recycle shapes of sliders for many times, say, 00:14:997 (2,5). Why not make a tasty slider and then copy it? You can save a lot of time and make your mapset cleaner.
    3. Lack of creativity of placement
    For this point, it's hard for you to improve much just only glancing through my mod. So, what I suggest is taking others' ranked maps as reference. Write some notes when you see juicy and gorgeous slider and rhythm placements.
    It's an Insane, not E or N! You don't need to follow the damn boring DS throughout the song. Brainstorm some creative patterns and place them in the kiai! It would be much more fun to play!

Hard

  1. 01:19:250 - Delete this redundant green line.
  2. AR7 is enough, as mentioned in Insane.
  3. The hitsounds of every diff seem inconsistent, make sure they are all the same because they should reflect your work and idea on the song.

  3. 00:37:750 (3,1) - Retain a consistent DS throughout the diff.
  4. 00:37:750 (3) - The rhythm problem appears again till the end of the song like the first point.
  5. Combo usage and slider shape's suggestions are identical to that in Insane.
  6. In addition to these two, remember to use one and only one DS throughout the diff.

All of this mod will be about generic stuff because I think that this beatmap needs a bit of work on the basics, so here it is.

General
  1. You need to remove the audio from your video.
  2. Timing is wrong. Use this: http://puu.sh/8WSWe/953adea21c.png
  3. Count this as generic advice: your comboing is inconsistent. Songs have a structure that your map should follow, and comboing is part of it. Notice that the song's meter is 4/4 and your comboing should reflect that. Try to make sure to add a new combo every big white tick or second big white tick, should you refine comboing later on to include specific patterns (which I don't recommend at your level !). This goes for all difficulties.
  4. In terms of visuals, you have too many overlaps and your patterns aren't visually appealing. Things like 00:12:750 (6,2) - (Insane) don't look pretty appealing and can be confusing at times. This impact the gameplay as well (obviously). Pretty things will always play better. I could write an entire article about it, but long story short, stacks (two notes at the same exact place) and geometry are what is generally good to do. Don't overuse symmetry or geometry, especially lines, and try to vary your curves ! Just make sure that what you're doing can be justified using the song.
Easy
  • You should map on the stronger beats of the song for this diff. Right now, the whole diff feels like it's 1/1 too late, pretty much, and it feels weird while playing. Try to give yourself something to focus on, either vocals or drums, and try to be consistent and stick to it. Keep the rhyhms simple, should you simplify what you're based on (and you did a fairly good job at it), this is just an Easy. In general, restricting yourself to white ticks (maybe with very rare red ticks) is a good idea.
Normal
  1. The above advice stands, but you have a bit more freedom in terms of rhythm. You did choose the rhythms fairly well in your Normal and Easy so I'm not worried about that !
Hard
  1. The rhythm here are more complex than in the Insane, and that's not a good point. If you compare the timeline, the Hard is more dense (ie has more objects per second), which isn't supposed to happen. Try to simplify the rhythms here to make it fit better between Normal and Insane (removing the 1/4 would be a first step).
Insane
  1. The biggest problem I see with this diff is that it's fairly bland to play. The slider velocity is fairly low to my taste, which makes it feel slower than it should be. Also, this is an Insane, so you're free to let your creativity loose and make the patterns you want ! Don't stick to a 1.0 spacing value if you see room for jumps ! (that doesn't mean you can do whatever you want >=( I'll be watching you)
  2. 01:15:250 (1) - This kind of slider is unrankable (since the end and beginning are completely overlapped).
Damager's Muzukashii
  1. Use the Normal sampleset. The hitsounds are barely audible at the moment.
  2. Keeps triples such as dkd, ddk or kdd at a strict minimum for a muzukashii diff. Yours has too many and some are in parts that are too dense and too close to other objects like 00:54:500 (116,117,118,119) -
  3. 01:00:750 (135,136,137,138,139,140,141,142,143) - This is a bit too long of a 1/2 streak for a muzukashii, especially given the density of the map before. Delete 01:02:000 (140) - ?
  4. 01:06:125 (154,155) - 01:14:125 (184,185) - This is low BPM sure, but I don't think doubles are a good idea. The whole diff is fairly difficult already.
Damager's Oni
  1. Use Normal sampleset again.
  2. 00:11:375 - why the 1.5 speedup ? Why on the second note and not on the first ? If anything, the speedup should be on the kiai.
  3. The whole diff feels disconnected from the song. I don't quite understand what I'm playing, especially during the kiai when the streams get complex like kkkdk and stuff.
  4. 00:50:750 (202,203,204) - 01:06:125 (287,288) - 01:14:125 (331,332) - are unrankable. Refer to this rule:

Hi there, coming from your request in my Modding Q

[General]
  1. Is this actually a song? It sounds so weird D:
  2. Some NCs are weirdly placed. Usually a NC is set when there's either a significant change in the song, a SV change or you went through a (in your head) set amount of hits and it's time for a new combo. This is not the case here on some points. Try to set yourself a specific timefame for each combo and set them that way (example: Normal diff. Start uses alot of NC's while NC's become irregular towards the middle/end)

[Easy]
  1. 00:15:273 (4) - NC
  2. 00:19:273 (1) - NC
  3. 00:21:273 (3) - remove NC
  4. 00:23:273 (1) - NC
  5. 00:27:273 (1) - make this overlap with 00:25:273 (3) -
  6. 00:30:773 (4) - Move this one so that it results in a nice curve into 00:31:273 (1) - (which you'll have to adjust afterwards) http://puu.sh/9aCIw/3408e6760b.jpg
    Dont forget to fix the combo after that as well (overlaps etc)
