why do you not stop the kiai at 00:58:932 - , and it starts again at 01:00:003 - ? Because you used that at the 2nd kiai part at 01:37:503 - , which you stopped the kiai part at 01:48:217 - and it started again at 01:49:289 -. the first kiai and second kiai part are same, so change it to make it consistently

  1. and my another suggestion is how about the kiai ends are at 00:58:217 - and 01:48:217 - ? because the ranked map by MMzz did it too

  1. Comboing feels inconsistent. 01:33:931 (1,2,1,1,2,3,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - example
  2. 01:33:931 (1) - it kinda breaks your consistent rhythm. I'd go with something different, like making this slider 1/2 longer. However, you can keep your rhythm this way, then you should reduce your OD by one tick.

    Velocity changes are confusing for beginners. I'd try to avoid them when it's possible. Rhythm is kinda easy to catch, but sometimes it feels weird. Comboing could be much better, tho

  1. 00:45:717 (1,2,1,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3) - comboing. Try to work on your comboing.
  2. 01:48:930 - that'd be great to remove unused green lines.

    Diff feels kinda strange, try to use AR5 and OD/HP4. That'd make more sense with your patterns and rhythm. Flows kinda strange, imo. However, maybe it's just me. Flow doesn't look nice to me and patterns are pretty messy. Well, maybe it's just me

Well, since you've added these two diffs there're a short opinion on them. Also, hitsounds are too quite, it's hard to hear them, imo. :<

Because in this way I can emphasize the SV change more, while the first kiai doesn't need it. Muzu contains this break for kiai consistency.

I got your PM...

I played half of the Insane, and I can say that it really needs work still before being considered for ranking. Try making your spacing more consistent and use jumps at the same spot in the music. Also some of the rhythms felt really weird ending early or starting late, continuing when the music really doesn't ask for more, etc. Try and get a good feel of how you want the cursor to move and try to make it a natural movement fitting to the music.

  1. 00:20:003 (1) - add the same sound placement as you did at 00:14:289 (1) -, it feels empty if there is no sound for me :(
  2. 00:26:074 (2) - is it intentional that you added whistle in the slider?
  3. 00:30:360 (1,2,3) - I guess you may use 1/1 Beat snap divisor instead of 1/2 here, it isnt fit the music imo, because there is a loud hit at 00:31:074 , if I were you, I would put it like this :
  4. 00:33:931 (3) - you better remove the clap and use whistle instead to consist you sound pattern

00:14:289 (1,1) - If you're going to space these outs, at least put breaks in between. I would personally suggest not mapping from all the way back here at all, and just start from 00:24:645.

Normal:
  1. Minus AR by 1.
00:24:645 (1) - This slider is faster than the rest in this 0.8x section. Since this is probably completely accidental, please fix.
00:40:360 (1,1) - Not enough spin recovery time for a Normal. In fact yours in Easy were already pushing it, but I let it slide. Can't do that here, unfortunately.
00:46:788 (1,1) - Likewise.
00:57:502 (1,1) - As before.
01:21:074 (3,4) - (4) is pretty close to (3), and it doesn't look nice as a result, so reposition (4) a bit.

Tsusuko's Hard:
00:14:289 (1,1,2) - As previously mentioned, I think it'd be better if you these weren't mapped, but up to you guys *shrug*.

But holy crap, was this diff. here last time? All I remembered was that I thought Easy and Normal were the best of the map, yet they've somehow declined in quality and I find myself thoroughly loving this Hard diff. Tsusuko, you did a very good job mapping this and props to you for it.

00:24:645 (1) - Slider faster than should be, and the end not being snapped is proof enough. I think this would be better if you start it 1/2 earlier anyway, with the vocals.

Diff. is better than I remember it to be as well, especially since it's not AR9 well. Looks much better. But.

00:48:931 (3,4,5,6,7) - Argh, so noisyyyy >.> the drum sampleset does exist, and by varying it up a bit, can easily make a noisy map into nice sounding one. Well this is small compared to other potential things, but just something to keep in mind.
01:01:252 - Even though nothing in the music really here, I still think it'd be good to put one here. Actually I dunno, regardless of whether I put a beat here or not, it still sounds or feels weird. Hmm... well might as well point it out anyway. Do what you want with it, I suppose.

Stop this attitude, really. I'd like to bring the argument that BATs aren't chosen randomly but I will say something different here. The fact that he has overseen two unneccesary and not that important things does not makes him as a bad BAT/Modder. This can happen to everyone. Haven't really looked through this huge thread for any already discussed things in the taikos, but going to mod it anyways!

[Ono's Taiko Muzukashii]

00:01:789 (1) - While I don't usually do pitch mapping, this probably fits better as a don due to the really drastic pitch change on the next note.

00:07:949 (1,1) - I feel like the 1/4 doubles here might be a bit much, If you remove the first note here, it plays similarly.

00:08:664 (1) - Remove this note for the same reason as above.

00:09:824 (2,1) - I'd suggest removing 2 and making 1 a kat.

00:29:824 (2,3,4,5) - While not as major as the above doubles, you could probably do away with 3 and 4 as they're more filling notes than anything, and dont directly correlate to the beat. Your call on this one.

00:48:217 (9) - Add a finisher here.

00:53:931 (1) - Finisher here as well.

01:02:770 (1) - I'd actually suggest moving this over to the red tick at 01:02:681. That way you can switch between the 1/4 doubles and 1/2 quintuplets.

01:09:288 (1) - You could map lyrically here and move this to 01:09:467 without changing any major flow in this part of the map.

01:30:538 (3) - Not necessary, but I feel like it both sounds and plays nicer without this note.

01:37:502 (1) - Finisher here please.

01:43:216 (1) - Finisher here as well.

01:45:180 (2,1,2,1,2,1) - I have no idea why you decided to do a reverse of the previous kiai's pattern here, but I really don't think it fits, please change from dkkddk to kddkkd like you did in the first kiai.

[Ono's Taiko Oni]

00:02:324 (1,1) - Even though there's music backing this, I still feel like it plays very awkwardly. I think the way its done in the Muzukashii probably fits best even in the Oni. (Remove the first note and make the second one a don).

00:59:734 (2,3,4,1) - Highly suggest removing 2 through 4 and making 1 a finisher. There's a pause in the music here followed with a cymbal crash, and it really should be emphasized.

01:09:020 (1) - lets add a bit of variety in here and get away from the dk kd stuff, if you made this a don you'd get a dd dk that fits quite well here.

01:11:877 - Add a don here, as well as 01:11:966.

01:37:502 (5) - Finisher here please.

01:43:216 (1) - Same as above.

01:48:930 - Might be better to end this as a quintuplet, add a don here.

01:49:287 (1) - Finisher here, should probably make this a kat as well like in the previous kiai.

If you make 01:50:359 (1) - a don and 01:50:894 (1) - a kat you can add some variety without messing up your flow any.

01:57:502 (1,2,1,1,1,2,1,1,1,2,1,2,3,4,1) - This stream just seems kinda out of place compared to the rest of the song. You can easily fix this by removing 01:57:948 (2) - 01:58:127 (1) - and 01:58:662 (4). I'd recommend changing 01:58:752 (1,1) - to be k D if you do this however.

00:02:324 (1) - Saying the same thing I said to Ono here, I really don't think this note plays that well so I'd suggest removing it. You should also change 00:02:503 (1) - to a don.

00:23:217 - Same as above, consider adding a don here.

00:24:199 - Add a kat here.

00:59:645 (1,1) - d K plays MUCH better here and keeps consistency with 01:00:716 (1,2,1) -

01:05:359 (1,1,1,1) - d Kkd to keep consistency with the above change.

01:07:324 (1,2) - I'd make these two notes kats to have a bit more balance between the kats and dons, but its your call.

01:08:038 (1) - Suggest making this a kat as well.

01:13:484 (2) - A don fits better here as the pitch shift doesn't happen until the next note.

01:40:090 (2) - This part sounds a bit better with this note removed. Give it a try and see if you like it.

01:47:234 (4) - Highly suggest removing this note, the septuplet here currently doesn't fit very well to the music.

01:48:930 (1,1,1,1) - d Kkd like done previously.

01:51:519 (2) - Remove this note.

01:54:644 (2,1,1,1) - d Kkd like done previously.

If you applied the kk change previously at 01:07:234, then apply it to 01:56:609 (1,2) - as well.

01:57:323 (1) - Change to kat if you apply the above change.

00:02:324 (1) - Saying the same thing I said to Ono here, I really don't think this note plays that well so I'd suggest removing it. You should also change 00:02:503 (1) - to a don. nope, i still keep it. i followed the music sounds there, and i map with my style too lol

00:17:503 - This is kinda an awkward pause, consider adding a don here? added. some modders have said this before too

00:23:217 - Same as above, consider adding a don here. added

00:24:199 - Add a kat here. nope, because i have heard it carefully. the "glass" sounds (i don't know what kind of sound is that lol) stop at 00:24:110 - , and after that, it's not any stream again. try with 75% playback rate

[Easy]

First impression:

Somehow the rhythm seems broken from time to time, and very inconsistent. The hitsounds are.. really weird, at the begin there are like only finishes, then I could hear some claps, well. It's normally a good idea to follow the vocals but it tends to be very boring here, so I'll try to bring some more 'exciting' stuff in it.. Since there are rhythm issues in it, I won't focus on placing (I'll point things out tho where the rhythm is ok)

00:14:289 (1,1) - If you like them, it's okay, but at least make a pattern. I would move 00:14:289 (1) - this one to 117 250
then delete 00:20:003 (1) - . Copy 00:14:289 (1) - and then simply ctrl + h ctrl + j it, and it already seems as if there were more thoughts behind it :3 If you don't understand it ask me, my puush is currently not working u.u

00:24:645 (1,2,1,2,3,1,2,3) - The rhythm here is technically fine, it's actually pretty good since it's a beginning part. What I kinda can't approve tho is the placing, it looks very random and has no connection at all.
Suggestion
00:24:645 (1,2) - Why not making them the same slider shape as you did 00:30:360 (1,2) - ? That was actually a good idea.
00:27:503 (1,2,3) - I think between those it would be nice to have some connection. At the end it could look like something like this: http://puu.sh/4UPXZ.jpg (the green thing comes first, then the red ones)
00:30:360 (1,2) - When you like ^, also make sure that those ones here fit again.
Also for this part, could you reduce the finishes a bit? At some places whistles would also work, use finish only for empahsizing spots please.

My suggestino would follow the general rhythm, as also the vocals. It's up to you tho! You also have some variation between long / short / reverse sliders.

00:41:788 (1) - I'm sure you can improve this curve slider.

00:48:217 (1) - Why the clap? I cannot entirely understand it. Might be better to delete.

00:48:217 (1,2) - Seems like you got out of space, so 2 is really near to the right. Why not moving the whole a bit to the left? Looks much cleaner, and also a bit more .. uhm centred

00:50:717 (3) - What did you exactly follow here? I don't think beginner player can get your thoughts actually, so let me try to clean it up a bit: http://puu.sh/4UQjw.jpg (1 = 00:48:217 - ) Since it's the kiai i think some more circles can't hurt, and you get a good balance with the big sliders.

01:15:002 (2) - same as above, the slider ends on a stronger tick than it starts on. Try to get a good rhythm here, following the instructions above.

The same things go to the other kiai, please have a look through it! The rest of the rhythm seems to be okay, if you applied (or not) the things above, call me for a recheck and i'll mod the spacing. But it would be nice if you could tidy some things up yourself:

00:25:717 (2) - Watch out for this blanket stuff, you can see it clearly, and it doesn't look good.

Heya. Here's my mod. As you requested, I've focused on Easy and Normal. I gave it a really thorough effort though, since I'm basically only modding a quarter of the map set.

[General]

The Hard is harder by star rating than Insane, which results in an awkward ordering in the menu.

[Easy]

7 spinners in a 2-minute map is way too many, even if it wasn't Easy. 1-3 is more appropriate.

00:14:289 (1) - This is cute, lol. I didn't like it at first, but now it's okay. I don't like how loud these are from the double-finishes though, since the music is actually softer here.
00:32:860 (3) - You chose 00:27:503 (1) as an important beat earlier (it was even a new combo). The equivalent note lands on the tail of this slider, which is a lot weaker, because the player needed to do something on this beat previously, but doesn't here. I would recommend placing a new combo note at 00:33:217 instead to be consistent.
00:33:931 (4) - If you ignore the previous advice and follow your previous combo scheme, this should be a new combo.
00:35:003 (6) - This slider head is hard to catch, and there's nothing in the music to justify putting it there. I would replace it with either a note on 00:35:181, or a slider ending there (and starting at 00:34:824).
00:36:074 (1) - This combo feels really awkward, because you don't seem to be following anything here. I recommend following the vocals and doing something more creative. On a separate note, you don't seem to use a lot of long, 1-repeat sliders here, which I like using on an Easy/Normal, so here are a couple rhythmic ideas. Feel free to come up with your own too, there's lots of variety possible here.

01:24:824 - Why a break here? This part sounds more energetic than the previous section (imo), not less.
01:31:074 (1,2,1,2) - It's a bit weird that you picked an easy rhythm for the first pair of sliders and a harder one for the second pair. I would expect it to be consistent.
01:35:716 (1) - Way too short.
01:37:859 (2) - Still don't like the hitsounds here.
01:39:644 (3) - A very strong beat ends up on this slider tail. I think it would be better as a note.
01:41:073 (4,5,6,7) - This is a bit boring for a section with an interesting rhythm. I would try to bring the interesting rhythm out with sliders.
01:45:716 (4) - The strong beat lands on the repeat of this slider, which doesn't play very well.
01:53:216 (2) - The fact that this slider is almost symmetrical, but not quite, bothers me.

The fade-out also felt a bit weird.

[Normal]

See Easy about the spinners, first 2 sliders, and kiai hitsounding.

00:28:574 (1) - Your combo scheme here doesn't make a lot of sense. I would either expect new combos on 00:28:217 (5), 00:30:181 (1), and 00:33:395 (4), or just at 00:30:181 (1).
00:36:074 (1) - The intensity (note density) of the map drops off severely here, not sure why. I would expect it to be more intense.
00:38:574 (4) - This tick of this slider is a major beat, missing it is awkward.
00:42:860 (2) - This rhythm is a bit weird, I would break it into 2 sliders.
00:45:717 (1) - New combo doesn't fit.
00:48:217 (1) - Your entire map shifts gears here, and where you had some interesting rhythms before, this is entirely safe and boring mapping with basically a 1/1 pattern for the rest of the song (with a few exceptions). I think you can afford to be more creative here.
00:52:145 (1,2,3) - Terrible spacing. If tail of 1 - 2 - 3 is equal timing, you should equally space them.
01:04:645 (4) - The tail of this slider is a major beat that really deserves a note or slider head.
01:27:502 (4) - ^

Not much to say here, mostly because there's not much creativity past 00:48:217 (1) :(. I actually really liked some of the patterns you picked out, like this combo here: 00:31:788 (1), and would prefer seeing more of that in the second half as well.

[Tsusuko's Hard]

Has different combo colours, not sure if intentional.

[m1ng's Taiko Oni]

Has broken Unicode information, might want to fix that.
I think it would be nice if this had the same background as Ono's diffs (obviously with the name changed).

01:30:538 (3) - Not necessary, but I feel like it both sounds and plays nicer without this note. Actually I felt the same before, so I deleted it.

01:45:180 (2,1,2,1,2,1) - I have no idea why you decided to do a reverse of the previous kiai's pattern here, but I really don't think it fits, please change from dkkddk to kddkkd like you did in the first kiai. okay.

00:02:324 (1,1) - Even though there's music backing this, I still feel like it plays very awkwardly. I think the way its done in the Muzukashii probably fits best even in the Oni. (Remove the first note and make the second one a don). okay.

00:59:734 (2,3,4,1) - Highly suggest removing 2 through 4 and making 1 a finisher. There's a pause in the music here followed with a cymbal crash, and it really should be emphasized. indeed.

01:09:020 (1) - lets add a bit of variety in here and get away from the dk kd stuff, if you made this a don you'd get a dd dk that fits quite well here. Oh it does sound nice, yes.

01:11:877 - Add a don here, as well as 01:11:966. okay.

00:32:860 (1) Rotate this note (Ctrl + Shift + R) by 40 degrees anti-clockwise from selection centre.
00:41:788 (7) Add New Combo.

[Normal]
01:21:074 (3,4) Gaps between 2 & 3 as compared to 1 & 2 is slightly further, and 3 & 4 is too close to each other. Move 3 and 4 to the point that the gaps are the same as the one in 1 & 2.
01:22:859 (5) Add New Combo.
01:45:716 (4) ^
