Well I can't help it, apparently friday is a part of the weekend according to Canadians.

I guess it's the Bieber fever causing them to be a bit silly.

I was polite and cooperative and everything went smoothly

kriers wrote:

Being polite should not be a requirement for getting good service.

I fucking study customer service at school and if the customer is not polite, it does not justify giving him poor service. This is the exact same situation.

edit: actually there is absolutely no need for the customer to be polite, and thus there is absolutely no need for me to be polite while dealing with the schedulers since they are supposed to be doing their job, which happens to be helping us captains get things scheduled.
kriers
My cooperativeness probably counted a lot more.

I see you guys doing nothing but criticize staff and troll this thread,
and it makes me wonder why the hell you are team captains.

What did I do wrong in this exchange? Care to enlighten me, oh great and mighty kriers?
kriers
I did not base my statement of how polite I assumed you were in your post, lewa.
It's just a sad trend I've been seeing in this thread where it's okay to cry over nothing.

Besides, all you gotta do is tell Haruka the date is impossible to play on and explain the misunderstanding .

In my case it could've just been luck, but I also responded straight away that we couldn't play before 5 pm on weekdays (which would mean midnight in Asia) and then I opened for playing at noon in weekends which then led us to getting the perfect time at 1 pm Saturday!

edit: I never said that I could manipulate staff by being polite. That's rubbish, but it still counts for something in the long run. Even in professional service, the rules only work in theory and employees are actually very sensitive to politeness given by customers even if it's a no-no shush-shush topic.

I instructed that weekends reach from Friday evening of respective time zone till Sunday evening of respective time zone.
This must be a misunderstanding and can be easily sort out.
She asked you if you can confirm it, a simple "no, Friday morning is not possible, because this isnt weekend for us" is fine.
But instead you use the rebel method. And all you win from this is making a fool of yourself with a childish behavior that has no limits.

Kriers said the most, already.
And if you get impolite, you seem to forget that services react clearly to your way of behavior. If you piss them off, they stay polite, but you get the backfire sooner or later - in doubt, when the house is set on fire when you pissed of the electrician.

What.

also, I did tell her that the time of the match is not fine for us. I even did this before I came here to complain about it.

Loctav
Then it's alright? Why do you even complain after all? For the sake of complaining? It just starts to get boring.
thelewa
I complained so that other people could know how good and useful this scheduler system is

Besides, there are other people talking about their POSITIVE experiences with the schedulers. It is only fair that I'm allowed to talk about my experience too, which just happened to be a NEGATIVE one.
Lunah
oh god, shut up.
Pegram
I see a point in what lewa is saying...? Should he, instead of complaining, simply ignore the flaws of the system or the mistakes of some people, and shut up while others say how good the system is? That's not how things work.
Topic Starter
Loctav
There are no flaws. There were just minor mistakes because she misunderstood a little detail. And as you can see thais is no flaw, because she actually asked, if it is okay. The system works accurately and if not, you have the chance to object the scheduled time, that's the reason why they ask you.

You see flaws in a system which are no real ones.
If you don't agree with the way this tournament is held, you are free to leave and give the lead to someone else or disbanded the team.
Any crying will be deleted from now on. Complaints are ignored, suggestions can be sent in via PM and are appreciated.
Call this censorship, but you know where the door is.

Keep up the good troll!
lepidopodus
To be honest I think some guys are merely complaining and criticize the system, without trying to solve the problem they got. (Or just gave the least effort they could and came here to troll? Whatever.)

Oh and I think it would be better to mention about 'how to change the schedule' or something like that in the first page since that is the important thing which can easily cause drama like this. Of course, schedulers should be diligent too.

EDIT:
Oh, and personally I'm not against banning someone interrupts others to enjoy.

Keep in mind that you have to finalize your teams till midnight of this day. (24:00 UTC (GMT+-0) 15th November 2012)
If you fail to send or message the changes before this hardcap, your team will stay in current setting. All team roster changes are invalid after this time mark

So, because you get irritated by complaints, you complain about those complaints which makes you quite irratiting as well.

Please leave your opinions@map pool.
Satonaka
Sexy map pool. I like it.
Wishy
If possible leave detailed comments about each map (difficulty, and if you like them or not) since we need to evaluate some stuff (diff tiers, mapping style) for next round, this is kinda experimental (you will find some maps being way too hard compared to some others on the list).
Aqo
Other than difficulty, say which maps very more fun for you to play in general, regardless of how hard they were. It's important that you enjoy playing the maps from just their layout and now their difficulty spread :b
Mythol
The no mod maps seem pretty hard for first round but good map picks

dt's seems boring :c

This. The DT maps seem a lot easier than some of the nomod maps, even considering you're using DT on them.
Metro
DT maps suck.
Wishy
Post your favorites too. (!)
Gyzarus
no mod maps too hard, while dt too easy...
hr maps: nice choice

Favourites
TOMOSUKE - Macuilxochitl (Charles445) [Extra]
Igorrr - Mastication Numerique (grumd) [Folie]
Frostmourne
seems no mod maps are almost the same level as the final round maps of the 1st round of the owc 2

maps seem a bit difficult but good map picks nonetheless 8-)
Pizzicato
mochi
You know high BPM stream/jump maps aren't the only good maps out there.

For the sake of consistency, the DT picks is a joke.
Darksonic
These DT maps seems really easy, some of nomod maps are a lot harder as a lot of people said, HD and HR maps are ok, that's the only thing I liked.
kriers
The nomod maps are so hard, and also folie on hd.

But most of all I am so excited now!

From gathered opinions and this thread the only conclusion I got is DT picks are a joke (too easy), and no mod are good (maybe Sabamiso is a little hard). So yeah going for harder DTs next round probably. Still gotta see how people will do@actual matches.

Space Rainbow is harder than the tie-breaker lol
HellDawn
Where is the No Fail icon ? :(
Lunah
kriers
Played through the whole list of maps and my impression is:

Too much AR9 - where are the good AR8 maps?
Several maps are above 180 bpm and that's just pushing it too hard.
Too many jumpy maps - I mean come on Killer Song is silly and jumpy, but the Sabamiso is really on another plane of difficulty
The DT maps are initially okay for a first round but stands out as ridiculously easy compared to nomod and the the other mods.
The maps with hidden are okay.
The hardrock maps are okay for a first round with hardrock.

Either the maps are stupidly hard or it's just plain boring like Space Rainbow.

Edit: oh and too many Japanese songs. Can't have just 2 non-J songs o_o
Frostmourne
I guess it will be trouble if the songs are going to be harder for each round because this is just the first round

Loctav
It's cool that everybody provides such constructive critics. Like Wishy sad, you can consider this round as experimental to adjust the other upcoming rounds to it.
This is because the selectors do this for the first time, so I'd like to ask you your everybody's understanding.
Keep up the feedback, it helps us a lot making this tournament better and better every day.

how the hell did the map list fail again.
it's almost like you're doing it on purpose :o :o :o :o :o :o

the difficulty gaps between some maps make absolutely no sense at all.
going from stream/jumps/AR9 to easy DT which I can cursor dance with 1 hand while taping my other hand over my left eye.

I personally don't like adding HD. It's still like playing no mod. Seriously, it's still the same fucking map with or without HD.
Kert
Checked only nomod maps for now
Yeah, too many jump maps and they're played in a very similar way
Only two maps stand out: Koisuru*Uchuu Sensou!! (-Chata-) and Macuilxochitl and that's nice
(first one have same jump stuff though but more streams)
Needs more variety like in the previous OWC and maps should be a little easier at least for group stage

lol Sabamiso! is easier than Macuilxochitl
CXu
Hatsune Miku - Kimi ni Uso [Kana] <-- hardest.

any of the HR maps is going to my death since I can't read AR10 at all
Aqo
I like how everybody is complaining about different maps being either too hard or too easy based on their skills and what they're more used to playing.
Everybody has different things they're better or worse at, play it out to the best of your ability and we'll adapt the preceding maps to the player abilities. Remember that not only FC matters but also acc on a random play since you only get one chance on mp; yes some maps are much easier to FC than others, yes the DT maps are overall easier for now.
kriers

thelewa wrote:

9. The teams can exchange only one player per map during matches.
