My old headphones are some bluetooths from Amazon and they are just way too laggy when I’m playing games, especially when the battery is low. Even when just listening to music, they lag sometimes. So I’m looking for a corded pair that preferably has Bluetooth capabilities do I don’t need to worry about wires when just listening to music.

I want them to have nice sound quality but also good for gaming. I’m not a huge gamer, so it doesn't need a mic or anything, but one game I do play very often is osu!, a rhythm game, so it does require very precise audio.

I need them to have some decent noise cancellation, it doesn't necessarily need to be active (that would be preferred) but it does need to be there.

Preferably they’d have a somewhat sleek, lightweight design but I can make compromises.

Of course comfort and quality is also important.

Under $300 budget; preferably under $200.

I like the design of the HyperX ones the best. The braided cord is also a very nice touch. They don’t have active noise cancelling but apparently the design does the job. However I’m a bit leery of them being branded to the game demographic, and I feel they are probably overpriced. My second favorite design wise would be the audio technicas but they seem a bit bulky.

i use sc uproars, it's pretty straightforward right out of the box. it's better than most headphones i've had for the past four years, and they're one of my cheapest ($60). though i'm not sure if you're going to like them, or if you already have them, since they're bluetooth, but i like them.

I use the SteelSeries Arctis Pro with the Game DAC. That's going to run about $250 They sound amazing and you can actually mess with the equalizer. Sennheiser makes some really good quality headphones as well. I used to use the PC 373D for awhile.

If you're at all still looking for advice, the first thing I can say is to avoid gaming brands like the plague- horrendous markup for usually subpar equipment (some companies have decent stuff, like the HyperX Cloud, but that's because they took audiophile-grade gear and rebranded it).

The best name-brand but cheap choices are from Koss, but theirs don't provide any sort of NC given that they almost universally have open-back designs. But their stuff is still worth checking out given their cheapest mainstream offering- the Koss KSC75- are $15 but punch way above their price range.

Then there's AKG, whose closed-back headphones will provide some degree of passive NC given they completely block your ears (and osu! audio will usually take care of the rest). They're what I use, and the AKG K371 is a pretty great pair of entry-level headphones for $150.

The Audio-Technicas you found are pretty decent for their price range. A lot of people have a love-hate affair with the M50x, but from personal experience I find them a pretty fun-sounding pair (that is, their tuning is aimed at a more mainstream demographic than audio-industry professionals who don't want any modifications to their sound).

I hesitate to recommend any bluetooth headphones- mostly because of the latency, partly because of battery life and audio quality- but the HyperX Cloud is surprisingly good for a gaming-branded pair of headphones. Get those if you absolutely must have bluetooth. That or the FiiO EH3 NC, which are great but apparently have a problem with hissing when you have NC on.

I recommend the Sony WH-1000XM3, they're wireless but come with a cable.

I have a pair of Shure SRH440. They cost below 90$ I believe and they are more for the music lovers than the gamers (they are wired), they have superb sound clarity for their price (much more than you need for the low resolution music of osu). What I noticed is that this brand focuses on quality rather than marketing, or aesthetics, so you get low prices for excellent products. I also use them for osu of course and they're great (the only shortcoming is the bass is not pronounced)
