Welcome to Calamity Cup 2, a randomised team tournament for Oceania and Asia players! Calamity Cup is a tournament focused on creating a chaotic tournament environment, with teams that randomise after every round, forcing players to adapt to their new teammates and use skillsets that they would usually avoid.






  1. Calamity Cup is a 2v2, double-elimination tournament consisting of teams of 4.
  2. Calamity Cup is an osu!standard tournament.
  3. Calamity Cup is a region specific tournament, only available for Oceania and Asia players.
  4. There will be no rank limit for players, and the top 32, 64 or 128 players will be accepted based on registration numbers and qualifier results.
  5. All matches will be played with scorev2.
  6. Players will sign up and play qualifiers individually, then be randomised into teams.
  7. Teams will be randomised after every round has been completed.
  8. Teams that lose and move down to losers bracket will also be randomised into teams for the next round.
  9. Players will have 3 days to nominate a captain for their team, and teams will be named after their captain.
  10. As with Calamity Cup 1, Russian players are allowed to sign up as they fall under Asia.
  11. This list may be altered at any time before the signups close based on user feedback. Once signups are closed, all information is final.




  1. All players are required to join the Discord server.
  2. Players are expected to treat staff respectfully.
  3. Teams are randomised at the end of every round.
  4. Matches will be played as 2v2s.
  5. Once the referee is ready, captains will roll, with the winner opting to pick 1st and ban 2nd, or pick 2nd and ban 1st.
  6. Teams may pick warmups that are under 4:00 in length.
  7. Teams will have 2 minutes to select a map, and if no selection is made they will forfeit their map selection, and the next pick will be chosen by the other team. If this should occur, after the team has chosen their forfeit pick and it is played, the pick will then go back to the original team.
  8. After map selection, teams will have 90 seconds to determine who will play and enter the lobby accordingly.
  9. Freemod maps will require all players to use one mod from the following: EZ, HD, HR, FL. EZ scores will be multiplied by 1.5x.
  10. If all players aren't readied up within this period, the referee will start a 15 second timer, and players in the lobby at the time will play the map.
  11. Failed scores will count, and highest scoring team will win the point.
  12. In the event of a disconnect, a replay of the map is up to the discretion of the referee.
  13. If the disconnect occurs in the first 15 seconds of the map, it will be replayed.
  14. The rules may be altered at any time before the signups close based on user feedback. Once signups are closed, all rules are final.

We've decided on a final system for qualifying and seeding teams, which will be revealed January 10th when signups are closed. The system will rely on players scoring will to qualify and will avoid players throwing qualifers to be seeded low. We can't promise the system is perfect, but it feels like an improvement over the first iteration of the tournament and hopefully will be more enjoyable for players.
