  1. This is a international, head to head 1v1 tournament with no rank limit.
  2. The bracket will be double elimination.
  3. All matches will be played using Head to Head, ScoreV2.
  4. This tournament will not use the BWS system since it is an open rank range tournament, however players will be seeded based on their performance in qualifiers stage, a maximum of 128 players may advance past qualifiers.
  5. Why is this called Gaucho Cup you may ask? Well, part of it is a secret that will be revealed later (Special Prize). On the other hand, do we really need a reason to have a tournament for Gaucho??
  6. You must join the discord server as that is where all information about the tournament will be released, if you do not join the server by the time qualifier lobby signups begin, your registration will be removed.
  7. All players signed up may enter qualifiers stage, with up to the top 128 advancing to the first round of the tournament.
  8. After the conclusion of qualifiers we will follow standard first-last seeding (#1-#128, etc.)
  9. RO64/RO32/RO16 - BO9 || QF/SF - BO11 || F/GF - BO13
  10. ALL matches starting at RO16 will be streamed, and certain ones before will as well, NONE of the qualifier matches will be streamed.
  11. No staff are allowed to participate in the tournament with the exception of Commentators, Streamers, and Graphics Designers.
  12. The winner of the rolls gets to choose whether to ban first and pick second, or pick first and ban second.
  13. Players may not double-pick or double-ban mods from any category with the exception of nomod.
  14. This will be a badged tournament, and will therefore require a 1-2 week gap between the end of registrations and qualifiers for tournament staff screening.
  15. If any player is deemed unfit for tournaments by staff for infringement of official rules, their registration will be removed and they will not be able to participate.

  1. This tournament will not implement a blacklist system for the future, however because of this, we expect a certain level of courtesy and respect towards our staff and especially other players. Any unwarranted profanity/slurs or "attacks" on the forum post, official discord, or twitch chat will result in a warning from staff, any following infringements will result in a removal from the tournament, and depending on the severity, a ban from all subsequent iterations.
  2. All failed scores will count
  3. Players will have up to 10 minutes past match time to join, after which point they will forfeit.
  4. If a player disconnects during a map: If the disconnect happens within 30 seconds, the map will be replayed, if after 30 seconds, the point will go to the remaining player unless both agree to replay the map.
  5. Since the tournament is double elimination, all players will have losers bracket matches after their first loss in the winners bracket, all players in the losers bracket will play two matches per weekend. In addition to this, the grand finals will have a bracket reset if the player coming from the losers bracket wins the first match.
  6. Hardware failure/malfunction will follow the same process as listed above for disconnections.
Qualifiers
  1. Qualifiers will be implemented to determine the number of players entering the first round of the tournament. (see scheduling)
  2. There will be no warmups in qualifier stage.
  3. The mappool will consist of 10 maps and will be similar in difficulty to the pool for the Quarterfinals stage.
  4. Qualifiers will determine a players seeding entering the first round of the tournament based on their performance across all maps.
RO128 and Following
  1. Following qualifiers, the tournament will implement standard double elimination format.
  2. Players will have 2 minutes to ban and 3 minutes for picks, all bans will follow warmups.
  3. Warmups may be a MAXIMUM of 4 minutes long (240s).
  4. Each player will get 1 ban per match until Quarterfinals, where each player will then get 2.
  5. Pools and schedules will be released AT THE LATEST, each Monday before the weekend of matches taking place.

Please note that this is the longest possible schedule route that this tournament can take, and is fully variant based on the number of signups that we gain, please make note of the different situations below given numbers of signed up players. All of these secondary schedules will shift BACK the original dates, so this tournament could potentially be a maximum of 2 weeks shorter than listed here:

  1. If Greater than 128 Signups we will follow the route listed above
  2. If between 64-128 Signups we will eliminate RO128 and proceed immediately from Qualifiers to RO64
