Am I too old to be posting questions here?
Have you faced the problem of only having audio files that has some small defects that you want to get rid of, and you can't find a perfect version anywhere?
I know I have and is desperate to get some answers.
How can the following objectives be achieved?
But if other software are applicable/required, please also include them.
For all objectives above I currently own audio files that may be used as example to make videos/screen caps. PM for transfer.
Oops I have missed some stickies that looks related and useful. Still I would like to ask for tips and such that those tgreads have not mentioned.
Final disclaimer: this thread is not simply asking for audio files be fixed, but for a comprehensive guide to fixing them oneself.
PS. If this thread gains enough solutions it might be turned into a how-to thread.

How can the following objectives be achieved?
- Increasing overall volume of audio file
- Removing excess blankness (No sound at all) or unrelated noise at the very beginning or the very end
- Making short versions (e.g. authentic Taiko cut) from full versions that involves
- Simple removal of parts at the end
- More complicated removal of parts in the middle without destroying overall rhythm
