There is nothing wrong with some sexy anime girls on backgrounds.
As long as it's not going too far with really sexually suggestive/nudity/pornographic stuff.
I considere that what we're seeing in osu! is acceptable.
Racism, discrimination, politics, religious, incitement to hatred/violence stuff are way worse.

Whats the point of putting a lewd bg? to be edgy? to be funny? I don't really get it. If its sexual, but to a point where it is sfw then yah why not, but even then why would someone put a sexual bg anyway? for attention? I don't get it.

Not too long ago the VCC came to fruition to clarify on what is acceptable and what is not for a background. Moderators and BNs ensure incoming content follows these rules and handle them case by case if something arises.

because people have different tastes an opinions, thats why. As long as it follows the rules it's fine, you can find the choice questionable, lewd or not, but you're not to decide for others what they find fitting and what not, even if they do it as a joke

Many kids growing up are exposed to a lot at young ages. This happens as they develop certain bonds with friends or other family members. Say for example, You go to school one day and your close friend says and tells you to say it as well. You two do not have a understanding of what that word means but you learned it from someone. (This happened to me in 1st grade, yes I said it out loud...and yes I got suspended)
So in this matter, kids will be kids and they will learn certain things no matter what. So what if they are exposed to sexualized backgrounds anyways. They will either not care or they will understand it. Things becoming sexual in the eyes of someone is part of growing up. They will find out either way.

if they are playing osu, the chances are that their innocence was ruined a long time ago and so long as bg dont break any rules, who cares?
