Hello everyone, we are osu!RunnerUps! A small upcoming community server that hosts tournaments for fun. We've been hosting a lot of tournaments over the past year for all rank ranges, and are excited to announce our latest tournament yet: a 25k-60k BWS rank 2v2 tournament with a team size of 4! It's been a while since our last tournament in this rank range so gather your friends and have some fun!

  1. 2v2, up to 4 players per team
  2. Team VS, ScoreV2, double elimination
  3. 25-60k, 1000 rank buffer, BWS

  1. The tournament will be held in a 2v2 format. Each team will have 2 active players and up to 2 substitute players.
  2. The rank range for this team tournament will be 25-60k with BWS. There will be a 1000 rank buffer during the registration period. See the "What is BWS" section below for more information.
  3. Registration is international.
  4. The tournament will be played in Team VS, ScoreV2 with a double-elimination bracket.
  5. All teams will be screened by osu!support. If a member of the team does not pass screening, that player will be disqualified.

Schedule is subject to change within reason. Please join the Discord server for schedule updates.
Registrations: Sat. October 12 - Sun. November 3
Screening: Mon. November 4 - Wed. November 13
Qualifier Map-pool and Match Schedule Release: Sat. November 16
Qualifier Matches: Sat. November 23 - Sun. November 24
Bracket Matches begin on Sat. November 30

Reschedules
  1. If you need to reschedule a match, please do so at least 24 hours before your scheduled match to be guaranteed a reschedule.
  2. Rescheduled times should be given in UTC+0.
  3. Team captains should be responsible for rescheduling matches.
  4. Team captains should first contact the opposing team captain to work out a reschedule. If you can’t figure something out or if the opposing captain does not respond, please contact a tournament coordinator.
  5. Please be mindful of the original schedule when rescheduling. Eg. Don’t try to schedule a semi-finals match ten minutes before the finals.
  6. If a reschedule has been agreed upon, please send confirmation to a coordinator or the designated reschedule channel as a screenshot.

Depending on how many teams register and have passed screening, qualifier lobbies will be held.
  1. RO32: BO7
  2. RO16: BO7
  3. Quarterfinals: BO9
  4. Semifinals: BO9
  5. Finals: BO11
  6. Grand Finals: BO13

Match Procedures
  1. The referee will invite team captains to the lobby ten minutes before the scheduled start time. Team captains will then invite their team members to the lobby. If the referee does not invite team captains five minutes before the scheduled start time, please ping the referee. If after another five minutes the referee does not respond, please ping the referee and host roles in the respective Discord text channel.
  2. Team captains will pick warm-up maps. Captains reserve the option to skip their warm-up.
  3. After warm-ups, referees will ask team captains to roll.
  4. The lower roll will ban first and pick second. The higher roll will ban second and pick first.
  5. After a map is picked, all players have 90 seconds to ready up.
  6. After all players are ready, the referee will start the match with a ten second countdown timer.
  7. Teams will alternate picks until a clear winner is determined or the last possible map has been picked and the teams are tied, where the tiebreaker will be played.

Rules
  1. Be excellent to each other. Don’t be rude or disrespectful to the referee or your opponents.
  2. At least two members of a team must be in the lobby for the match to be played. If two players from a team do not join 10 minutes after the scheduled start time, that team will forfeit the match.
  3. Please have your picks and bans ready before the match to ensure smooth progression of the match.
  4. For freemod (FM) picks, two mods must be played per team. Acceptable mods to use are hardrock (HR), hidden (HD), easy (EZ), and flashlight (FL).
4a. EZ scores will be multiplied by 1.75. Eg. A 480,000 EZ score will be 840,000 in the total team calculation.
4b. The tiebreaker is also a freemod pick, but players are not required to pick mods for it.
  5. Failed scores in qualifier rounds count. Failed scores do not count in bracket rounds.
  6. If a player disconnects before the 30 second mark, the map will be replayed. This can happens once per team per match.
  7. Referees will not ask players to make decisions regarding any of the match rules.

  1. Short for Badge Weighted Seeding, BWS is a tournament-minded seeding method intended to provide a more accurate ranking and seeding of players and to enforce rank restrictions based on the number of tournament badges a player has.
  2. BWS essentially artificially "ranks up" players based on the number of badges they have.
  3. In terms of how much players rank up per badge, each badge is worth more than the previous badge.
  4. The formula used for BWS is as follows:

rank^(0.9937^(badges^2))

Remember that BWS is not intended to reflect solo play skill.

First Place: 4 months of supporter per player, pending badge
RunnerUps! (Second Place): 2 months of supporter per player
Third Place: 1 month of supporter per player

  1. Join our Discord. This is mandatory for all players!
  2. Team captains will fill out a Google form in #links.
  3. Any solo players that wish to be free agents will be able to search for a team with a team search channel in the Discord.

Alternatively here is a direct link to the forum but please note all players must join the discord or else your team will automatically be DQ'd .

If your country/state observes daylight savings time, or your time zone will otherwise be different by the start of the tourney, please use the time zone that it will be during the tourney
