Hello!
Today i realized that when I play beatmap with small circles, the changing numbers of combo are a little distracting and i have got some idea for new option - 'Hide Combo' option. Counting combo isn't necessary while gameplay, so this option could be very nice for some players like me.

I don't understand how this can be a problem for you, but if it's really bothersome you could also add transparent combo numbers to your skin and make your custom combo colors a single color (do this, check your skin.ini)
