Changing Approach Rate (Taiko)

No matter what I do, I can't seem to change how fast the notes will move across the screen in taiko mode. Changing them in the difficulty settings does not fix it. I do not want to double the BPM for the speed boost, so I'm stuck. Does anyone know how to change it in taiko?

Taiko Approach Rate is directly related to slider velocity, so changing that will increase the rate notes come across the screen. On top of that you can add sections of custom slider velocity to create variance of approach rate..... (Please make sure to stay within the rules of taiko)
