As the title says, what is your favorite instrument and why?

For me it has to be the euphonium.

I really love it because of the beautiful warm low sound it makes, but also because it isn't stuck in the low range like the tuba. The trombone would also fit that description but it's sound doesn't sound as warm to me as the euphonium's

I also like the fact that it's a wind instrument. I am much more interested in wind instrument than percussions or string. I do like the sound of stirng and percussion but would'nt be interested in playing them myself.

I also won't hide the Hibike euphonium bias. That show is my third favorite of all time and has had a great impact on me. In fact, Hibike is the show that motivated me to pick up an instrument even if I hadn't played one seriously in my entire life.

I really like classical strings, since they can portray so many moods. Like they can make epic and tense atmospheres in music, yet can also be very elegant and smooth.

Though i don't have any particular favourite string instrument. I'd probably go with the cello, since it's probably the most satisfying to hear after hearing so many high notes of violins (nothing against them though, in fact i'm a violinist). I feel like they also have the greatest impact of those various mood portrayals as well, it feels "broad and hard-hitting" with the low notes.

My favourite is the drum. Like, actual drum kits. I'd love to learn it, but don't have the room in my house.

I've been practising guitar on-and-off, and I enjoy it. It also sounds cool in songs. However, I simply prefer how the drum keeps beat, as it's nice and organised, even if it sounds chaotic. I also lack motivation and time to learn it anymore, which really does suck.

I really love the smooth, invigorating sound of a Rhodes electric piano (or anything that sounds like/emulates it, like Mr Ray 73 VST). It gives off a sound unlike any other. It's softer and more relaxing than a grand piano.
