How long did it take for you to pass 4* 5* and above maps?

Hello, I've been playing Osu Mania! on and off for the past several months (about 63 hours in-game time) and was wondering how much progress everyone else had during their first couple of months of OSU! I was also wondering how much time I should prepare to spend playing OSU! before I consistently clear 4* maps and above.

Took me 4 months to pass a normal 4* map and 2 more months for a normal 5* map. I already had some rhythm game background before

mmh, I started playing this year's 20th of january so looking at my profile...

I've S rank plays in a bunch of 4* 42 days since I started
so it took me like a month for 4*


around when I started playing 4* I stopped playing rankeds though so I dont have that many recorded plays from there besides a few maps some people put on multiplayer, but looking at the few I got eeh

I've 4 -decent- plays from the exact same day 20th of May which is exactly 4 months since I started playing that are 5*

which are:

-709k play on Kakuzetsu last diff https://osu.ppy.sh/beatmapsets/357060#mania/785580

-840k play on Mazare Party last 4k diff https://osu.ppy.sh/beatmapsets/650415#mania/1660802

-811k play on Wizdomiot last diff https://osu.ppy.sh/beatmapsets/592272#mania/1253218

also have a 822k play on 5.18* C18H27NO3 play from 19 days ago before those 4, but c18 big joke

all those plays should be on the top plays on my profile, since I dont really play rankeds ive many old plays there


I've never really played any rhythm game beforehand tho, but I did put around 2 to 3 hours day to it, which should be good enough to improve if you know what things to avoid when playing

3 months to pass 4 star

4 months to get S on 4 star

5 months to pass 5 star

6 months to get S on 5 star

stars don't matter past this point
