PP not going up

So before I was able to get plenty of pp added to my account by a 30-40 pp performance but now I get almost none (less than 1). Is it a consistency thing where if I did good before that would be my new standard. If so how do I lower it since I'm barely ranking up anymore

Weighted pp system as linked above, it is normal, some players go large periods of time with no pp gains

You can't lower it, what do you think rank is based on? Your rank is the number of people with higher pp totals than you. If you don't improve and set higher plays to increase the weighted total, you can't climb above players who are better than you.
