Sudden BN requests in-game: Ethical or not?

Okay I'm probably overthinking this but is it ethical for a normal mapper to suddenly ask a BN that is peacefully doing his/her own thing in-game to check if your map is rankable? I feel conflicted as to what I should do.

Even more info: Profile description says yes but still feeling bad for sudden pm

It's personnal preference of the bn. Yes he is doing is things peacefully, but at least he'll be able to directly get your request instead of tabbing to the forums and refreshing his bn queue for exemple. There are pros and cons for each methods and one of the cons of in-game request is that you can disturb him, yeah, but he'll just ignore you until he's done.

Personnally, since he made the decision to ask you to in-game pm him (and even if you pm bns that doesn't say "pm me in-game" in their description), I don't think this is a problem.
