[Archived] lower difficulty beatmaps

Hello

I've been downloading a lot of beatmaps recently and I noticed that there are a lot of lower difficulty ones included in the ones I've downloaded. Now I was wondering, do they have any use? Can I delete them to preserve storage space?
(I'm still a noob player)

Difficulties are just .osu files (which are just formatted text files) so they barely take up any room, the majority of space is taken up by the Mp3, Background, video, beatmap skin, and hitsounds. Deleting the .osu files for just one difficulty of a set would barely make a difference, probably just a few kilobytes. You won't really free up space by removing these difficulties, unless you delete the WHOLE mapset.

You can however hide these lower difficulties by using this option in the options menu
