When you think of Pippi, what voices come to mind? I know it's a small thing, but I'm trying out as the voice actress spot and I'd really like any feedback if you could (: I have samples right now, but I'm being told I sound too much like Peach from Mario Bros. Anyway, if you could, I'd be really grateful (:

I have difficulty typing a voice, but I think of a high shrill type voice.

fix the name in your post and I'll respond with a real answer.

I now refuse to give you an answer because its my 900th post and I'm taking the day off.

Good luck with your try at becoming Pippi. :) I haven't listened to the sample set yet unfortunately, but I hope it's better than other attempts (Who am I kidding, there shouldn't be any other attempts)...

For me, I would assume it'd be around the pitch and voice range of the vocalist in the IOSYS songs...Though I bet they've been digitally edited so that's not a good thing I guess...

Just see if you can sound cute without overdoing it...? It's hard saying criticisms when you don't know the product you're criticizing...I'll listen to them sometime. :| 'Luck.

EDIT: Oh, and energy. I feel she has energy. :3

Hehe name fixed! Sorry I keep mixing up the name...keep trying to get in the frame of mind that Pippi is peppy! I'm going to attach a very small zip file of one sample in my next post...will you tell me what you guys think please? (:

Edit: okay here it is (: just an "are you ready? 3, 2, 1 go!"

awpEDIT: removing the samples, go here for discussion on that

Your new sample is less Peach-like than before... that's good. :)

You should try avoiding that "bouncy" or...I can't describe it well, but the Peach-defining characteristic when doing the voice. I think you're doing pretty good, but who knows, I'm usually optimistic. Don't force yourself in avoiding it though...I doubt quality will come from that. :P

Thank you (:. I'll try to focus on it a little to see if just a minor change would fix it (so I could keep my quality still good, like you mentioned). Thank you for your time in listening to it, it means alot (:.

Haha, I appreciate the hard work you're putting into "making" Pippi's voice.

I dunno how to describe this, but it feels more like an EBDiva feel toned down by shyness (and divided by three, since it's just you "shouting"). Like Starrodkirby said, more energy! But not quite so that it sounds like the Divas. (Ew. =P) Maybe it should sound close to the Ouendan cheer girls, but with a little more... how should I say it... dancy? =/

Good luck Saturos ^^.

And yes, this well help, thank you Yoshikart!

Edit: Here's the second take, mixed in with some of the EB Diva combo breaks and such! Let me know which you guys like and which you don't so I can more accurately turn Pippi into the real deal! That is, if I actually get the part haha.
