What are the 'absolute classic' games of the past 20-30 years?

I got a bundle from Fanatical a few days ago, which had all metal slug games.
Kinda nostalgic because I used to play it on a arcade machine.
Bundle is not longer available but they release this: https://www.fanatical.com/en/pick-and-mix/build-your-own-retro-bundle which you can make your own retro bundle and it have a lot of good gems on it.

The Legend Of Zelda: Wind Waker. Continues to be my favourite Zelda game, and game in general. Sadly you can only play it on Gamecube or Wii U (but honestly who has a Wii U???) or maybe an emulator.
Kinda started off hated but its gained a huge following and is now beloved. 100% recommend it.
