[Archived] Accidently ran "Compatability Mode"

osu! version: Stable 20190226.2 (latest)

Just doing things on my settings accidently enabled compatability mode.

Osu! wont open

What do i do?

Hold down shift and click the osu shortcut. A popup should appear and you can uncheck the box that says "Compatibility Mode". Then click "start osu!"

I believe that issue causes the recovery dialog menu to not appear, if it doesn't show up or crashes the same, open your osu!.pcname.cfg file and change CompatibilityContext to 0, save, and then launch osu!

default osu! install path is appdata/local/osu! you should find the cfg file there.

Yeah, that’s what I was going to suggest if it didn’t work.
