Mara
I don't get it. Explain?

She wants a numerical representation stating the number of friends you have here.

Basically shows how many friends you have.

Since the friend limit was added friend counter would come in handy

this~ yes ._.
Stefan
Lol who cares how many friends you got? This is so important like your gender.
Nonsense idea imo.

._. the limet friends is 200 now, so how do i know how many i have right now~

it's useless to count them all you know~
Sakura
I'd agree with this as long as it's only visible by yourself, since the reason that people want this is to know when they're about to hit the friend limit doesn't seem to be any need to make it viewable by other users.

You should probably add people who are usually on mutual friendship.
Mara
It doesn't sound like a bad idea.

i dont understand why you need to know how many friends you have.if 15 or 150...
Rather the limit should be increased...

Very troublesome and indirect alternative to solve such a simple problem.
Thanks for sharing but this just isn't enough, we shouldn't be expected to solve the shortcomings of the website ourselves.
Soaprman
The friend limit should be displayed on the manage friends page, too. Right now I don't know if it's stated anywhere. I don't know what the friend limit is and didn't know it existed until people started posting about hitting the maximum.

Btw I think copying and pasting your entire friend list into Microsoft Word and using word count is the fastest way. But yeah I explained why this still doesn't cut it.
ReVeNg3r
how friends counter helps you ? when you have too much friends? or what..
i think problem is limit not counter

okay ,stayin with topic..stil dont understand why..
better function?
Sakura
The limit is probably in place to avoid the friend list bug that happens when you have over a certain ammount of friends, but i do agree that why would you have that many friends in the first place.

That's why you subtract one, hurrdurr.

All I see this as is just a mere attempt at trying to gloat or show off to people that you 'have' a certain amount of friends regardless of the fact it is mutual or not; which is rather lame in that you consider your friends to be nothing more than a number in the grand scale of things.

Indeed. It also says "no".

Would be nice to manage friends better though: t/84661

Bumping this.

A display of [Current Friend Count]/[Maximum Allowed Friend Count] will be nice, eg:

"You currently have 200/250 friends."
