Hey, my name's MangakaMoka and I'd like to start a little project.

I want to try mapping songs in a more traditional way. My mapping style is leaning towards the earlier stages of mapping, heavily flow and playability/fun influenced with tricky, gimmicky parts (check video link below).
Latest sample of me mapping:

The goal is to improve myself in mapping skills. However, there's one thing I'm missing: songs to map, and that's where you can help me!

As the title suggests, the project is a collection of songs mapped in my "traditional way". If you have any songs you'd like to see mapped, link them here! I may not be the best or a famous mapper but I want to challenge myself and get some mapping quality in.

Anyone can participate in this project, be it as a tester, a song submitter or whatsoever! As a song submitter, just link a song (YT preferred), as for anything else, just give me a small note!

I hope I will get many songs to work with. Let's exchange some songs and get some mapping done~

CHEERS! o/

You probably want to state more clearly how exactly you mapped this diff and how much you took away from Mir's diff which I assume is the origin of yours considering the background and your beatmap description.

Otherwise this might get shot down for stealing parts of another person's beatmap.

My mapping involves using live mapping so I can strike at (imo) dominant beats and try to map around them. I've found out that my mapping seemed relatively simple compared to modern, technical maps as the original diff. Whenever I remap ranked songs, it's mostly out of pleasure in mapping songs and trying to improve my style rather than "copying someone". I want to map my way and make people think "hey, that's a MangakaMoka map and I like playing it!"
I love the idea of "simple maps everyone can enjoy", "flow and easy to read" and "concept". In this map, I implemented a five object circle stream because it would form a flower for the lyrics "Make me bloom".

When I remapped the song, I took the audio and BG (because I'm a lazy idiot who likes to map and a way to relax). The rest is created completely unrelated to the original. I mapped sections of the song, LATER ON comparing it to the original to see if I actually mapped it similarly.
I don't want it to be some map v2.0, I want it to be my map and find my style.

In no sense have a I wanted to disrespect the original version by Mir. In fact, I found the song and map so intriguing that it's in my favorite list! The beat patterns and song just seemed so awesome that I wanted to challenge myself to create something new to what I love (maybe calling it a fanwork).
I can see that it may have sounded disrespectful and for that I apologize but in fact, my comparison in difficulty was just to see HOW CLOSE I'd get to the original map in terms of difficulty based on my usual mapping style. In fact, I'm very concerned if my works would "look the same", "[be] another stupid copy" or "have no originality". However, I'd never want to just imitate other maps by rearranging objects. I want my map to have my signature, to have people to play my map and genuinely say "that's her map!", not "oh, that's the easier version of Mir's...".

In fact, how my map is different from Mir's is that I
a. didn't use ANY breaks
b. implemented 1/6, 1/8 sliders and
c. brought in seemingly weird patterns which are not found in [Seeing Stars].
You may want to check out the video I made on the finished map or see it in editor to get a picture (links are above).
I believe some parts will be similar because we are beat oriented, however, I never thought that "Mir did this, so I might as well do too". Take the triple into slider pattern. Both Mir and I used it because it is how the beat goes.
Now, one difference I listed was that I had no breaks. A question: why would I map the parts Mir didn't? Why would I go through the extra effort of creating a section I have NO REFERENCE for in [Seeing Stars]? The answer is simple: because for me, they are worth to be mapped so might as well give it a try!

To the project: it is not meant to be a self-advertising or disrespecting one. If I wanted that, I could take the songs of popular maps or maps of famous mappers and remap them. I am genuinely looking for songs the players are interested in, mapping them to my standards and seeing if they will enjoy it. I'm not interested in ranking maps in the near future but to map songs the community wants to see mapped and I'm turn, refining my style.

I don’t know anything about mapping but can suggests a few songs. One song I would want to suggest is Toyosaki Aki - Diamond

Just clarifying, this wasn't meant as an attack, I checked briefly and found them to be quite different but when using someone else's bg/audio/metadata it's always good to make a clear statement.
You have been using terms like "remapped song" and "original diff" in this thread and your beatmap description that may help people to jump to conclusions like that so I thought I'd note it.

Don't worry, it was good that you pointed it out as I can see my misleading tone. I wrote a relatively long answer to let people know my real intention.

To be honest, I didn't know what term I could use instead of remap which would not sound even more misleading...
