I know I'm late but there is a new free rhythm game called Friday Night Funkin'. Here are some I recommend:
- My number one pick is OutFox (Stepmania 5.3), mainly for its customizability (although you do have to download these customizations yourself), and it's free and open-source. You also have to download songs as well. https://search.stepmaniaonline.net/ is a good place to start downloading what are called "simfiles".
- Quaver, which is similar to osu!mania in 4K and 7K beatmaps, as they're direct download. It's also customizable, but you have to use the Steam Workshop, and then move the skin files to the "Skins" folder in the game files.
