Any inherited timing sections just laying around not doing anything to the notes? There should be a way to remove them, all of them.

Added to that list

On-topic: This sounds fine. I was also thinking of an 'optimize timing points' function that would automatically move a green timing point (without kiai changes) to the midpoint between the previous and next object and deletes unused sections.
That said, the test build's per-object sampleset stuff makes barcoding pretty obsolete anyway, so there won't be as much demand for this as previously.

Oh okay. Sounds cool.

Personally, I don't like the test build hitsounding.

Then odds are you haven't barcoded. Every barcoder I've talked to loves the idea.

I've barcoded every since I started mapping. I've deveoped a way to get new timing sections extremely fast, even faster than hitting samples. But I guess I could learn to do it the new way..

If you think it's faster to barcode than use samples, then you probably haven't barcoded as much as others do, or you haven't used the samples well enough and are still learning.

In either case this has gone off-topic, so.

On-Topic: This would help me not have to point out redundant timing sections in maps so Support.

Ctrl + P, press down or up (to chose between soft or normal), press enter
and repeat
Move with keys to move throughout the beatmap.

I do this extremely fast, up to 4 timing sections per second. However, if I want to increase volume on soft but keep a lower volume on normals, I have to use my mouse. Which makes it more time consuming. If only there was a way to lower and increase the volume much easier with the keyboard without ever having to do it with your mouse when selecting it.

When you're doing it with keyboard, it's always faster. But adding samples by first clicking on notes and THEN pressing shortcutes keys (if you chose to do that), that's slower. That requires you to move between mouse and keyboard. Or go around with your only your mouse (which is the slowest option)

If only there was a way to select next notes with your keyboard.

Pressing Shift+W, Shift+E, Shift+R to change samples is faster.

Now that I really try them, you're right. I'm a bit too unused with that for now, but I'll learn.

Isn't there a way to select notes without clicking on notes?
What about tab? Selecting whatever notes on that location.

You should be able to bind keys to your own liking too. There's so much I'd like to change that would improve the mapping experience.
