Well, earlier this month, around the 1st/2nd of April, I was "diagnosed" with Wrist Tendonitis. I had been having pains in my wrist for about 6-8 months, and I finally saw a doctor about it in March. I had an X-Ray taken but nothing serious came back, apart from a black spot around the wrist area, this was thought to be arthriteous (I can't spell for shit, leave me alone.)
They did an MRI on my wrist on March 28th, and it came back to have inflamation in the wrist. It wasn't arthriteous. This lead to the conclusion of Wrist Tendonitis, as I did have an inflamed and harden section within the joint area. This inflamed area was actually so hard, the syringe needle snapped trying to go into this shell-like thing. The easiest way to explain it, is like the ball of your elbow, but smaller and in the centre of the wrist. It is in-line with the bottom of my thumb joint to the wrist.
Well, they had to break this little ball thing to drain the fluid that was inside it. Very painful, but they did it while I was under anesthetic. This was done on March 29th, sent off that afternoon. April 2nd the results came back for the confirmation of Wrist Tendonitis and that I would need to attempt to settle the tendons in-order to take the swelling down. I tried Ice-packs when ever I felt pain, and I was on medication. I had a splint, but that did me no good as I have broken my right wrist before, which meant it already didn't sit in place. This may also be an issue lead to what's happened.
The medication I was on hasn't worked, and the last option is surgery. This would mean that I would be out of commition for anything streinuating for about 6-8 weeks. I would then need to goto physyotheropy to help train the tendons to work once more, as being in a slint and/or cast so the stitches don't tear will mean there is little to no movement going on, so muscle strength will go down.
I have been told my hardcore gaming days are essentially over. Due to the amount the muscles are used when operating a mouse, I am unable to go back to what I was. There is a slight chance I won't suffer any-loss (just 6-8 weeks of not playing xD) of skill and such, but that is about a 25-30% chance due to what the doctor has seen from what I do. I could change the way I play to using my entire elbow and/or shoulder instead of my wrist, but my precision and reaction times would take a hit.
osu! is more then likely the cause of this, as I got a LOT! better and was playing some harder songs around the time the pain began happening. I, of course, would try to continue playing as much as possible, but I will never be this good again. If I played for 12 hours straight, 7 days a week, for about a year, I might be, but that wouldn't happen.
I'm actually tearing up as I write this. osu! has been a big influence on how I play my games, the music in my life, and some of the friends that I've made. I've always wanted to help in any-way possible that was within my capabilities. I've always stayed somewhat active in-game, and I regularly chat. In the past 4-5 months of running this PC with xfire, I've gained over 700 hours of constant osu! gameplay. Not much compared to others, but mixed in with my CS:S pro-leagues, LoL gaming, and other non-sensical games, it was a lot for me.
I'm now going to bid you all a temporary goodbye. I book my surgery tomorrow, which will more-then-likely be this Friday. I'm not going anywhere from the community, but I will be less active, as I can no longer play. I am preparing for the worst. God, I sound like I'm going to die. That's just how much I love to play osu!, it seriously is.

My only regret is not using my tablet and getting better at it. That's it. Mouse users will always be the only proper way to enjoy osu!, just sayin'. <3 you all, but that's me done.
And as a final note, here is my last map played. Just drag and drop the .OSR file into osu, and you should be able to watch the replay. A link to the map so you're able to watch it: http://osu.ppy.sh/b/93389
