Who are the coolest anime characters for you?
The series should be mentioned. Pics are appreciated too!
For me the coolest anime girls are:

•Mion Sonozaki [Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni]
•Ritsu Tainaka [K-On!]
•Akazawa Izumi [Another]
•Sonoko Suzuki [Detective Conan]
•Misa Aname [Death Note] ~~She is cool by the way she dress!~~
•Saya [Blood C]
•and more....

And the coolest anime guys are:

•Hanabusa Aidou [Vampire Knight]
•Kaitou Kid [Detective Conan]
•Chichiri [Fushigi Yuugi]
•Killua Zoldyck [HunterXHunter]

Define what you mean by coolest so that people have more of an idea what they should be posting otherwise it'll be nothing more than another "Who is your favourite character?" clone.

Hmm.. It depends on what they really understand about the word 'cool'
Like the way the characters act, dress, speak and do things....
I couldn't say that this is a clone because not all cool characters are your fave ones! ^3^

If it's like this then that's rather simple.

Male:

Eikichi Onizuka - my idol in everything related to life.
Kiritsugu Emiya - who needs a servant when you can just go and kill their masters?
Hayate Ayasaki - seriously, no one is nearly as optimistic as he is even with all the misfortunes he has faced.

Female:

Koko Hekmatyar - she stays smiling ever when guns are being shot around and at her; do I need to state any other reason.
Rin Tohsaka - looks cute but has a personality that lets her quick-witted thinking keep her above everyone else.
Revy - disregards all logic and gets stuff done her own way.

Limiting myself to 3 per gender otherwise I would go on for quite a while.
