So I went and made one to the best of my ability both at playing osu!, and creating a video. Most of the other videos that I've seen were either someone playing while trying to talk over it (compromising their ability to do either effectively and causing a lot of background noise), recording their monitor with a handheld camera or webcam, or had been restricted due to a copyright claim.

Shameless plugging my vid, I know, but I really would appreciate any feedback that anyone has (positive or negative) so that I can improve video creation for the future. The long-term goal is to get to a point where the quality of my videos is high enough to grow an audience to the point where I can self-sustain through creating video content.

You could aswell summed it all up by saying "you click a bunch of shit to even shittier music and then proceed to quit playing and whore your dignity away on the forums".

If I was whoring away my dignity then I wouldn't be asking for feedback, and I'll take your feedback to mean that I should stop trying to better myself and give it all due consideration :)

You're misinterpreting what I said. I never said jack shit about you personally.

Nice clear voice and good review. Demos of harder and more exciting songs/beatmaps would make the video more appealing though.

@boat: Be nice, give the man a break will ya. Cool avatar btw.

Much appreciated! I couldn't agree more, unfortunately I'm not nearly good enough to pull of anything above 4 star. I was very tempted to just put it on Auto and find the hardest map I've got just to scare people at the end, however the only time I could think of to do that was the ending wrap-up, and I really wanted to use The Device Has Been Modified for that, as every rhythm game I've done articles or videos on have had a Portal song of some variety :)

I did spectate a very high-level player for a while as I was streaming the creation process and capturing the various clips that I used, the general comments in chat were mostly "My eyes can't keep up with this!", which is the main reason I went for mostly slightly easier beatmaps.

I'm just going to go ahead and say that it should be osu! not Osu! since other people will anyways

Updated the title and tags, thank you :)

i think you're pronouncing osu wrongly

That's how everybody I know pronounces it. Actually, I pronounced it "oh-suu" at first but was corrected (read: flamed) for pronouncing it like that

I'm pretty certain the 'u' is silent, like it is in the title of Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan, upon which osu! is based. Here's the trailer for it, it's pronounced in the first 10 seconds http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_Z85RIYYRA

Yes, the 'u' is silent.

Waryas might be referring to how you pronounce the 'o' - not sure if it's the only right way but I pronounce it as in '(b)oss' rather '(h)ose'.

edit: nevermind, you're talking about video reviews

Moe moe kyun? Can't say I've heard Doomsday's voice, but I'll take it as a compliment nonetheless, so thank you!

Main thing I'm concerned about from a voice perspective is that I'd have an irritating voice, an overpowering accent, or speak too quickly occasionally. I've not heard any complaints up to now, but it's always something that bugs me when I'm editting things down or re-watching to make sure I didn't accidentally remove a chunk before I commit my PC to an hour of encoding :)

Very nice accent, I must say.
