Questions about switching to tablet

Hi, I've been playing osu for at least 6 years and I've been wondering if it's still okay for me to switch to tablet at some point since I've been stuck with the mouse for so long.

So here are some of my questions.
  1. Should I just stick to mouse/keyboard?
  2. Is it really necessary to use a tablet?
  3. Am I too late to switch already?
  4. Would it benefit me gameplay-wise?
  5. If I should switch:
    - what kind of tablet should I use?
    - how long would it take for me to get used to play with a tablet?

It's preference, although tablet is kinda objectively better, a lot of people prefer using mouse.

No it's not. As I said, a lot of people prefer using mouse. There are also a lot of incredible mouse players out there.

It's never late, FlyingTuna switched to tablet when he was rank 15 or something.

Probably yes, probably not. I've got friend who got insta better after getting used to tablet. But there are a handful of people who own tablet but they're still using mouse, so it's not same for everyone. But for most people actually yes, it does benefit in long run.

- No idea. But pretty sure that search at the upper left corner can help.

- It's different for everyone, some are getting used after playing few days/weeks others cannot get used to it even after playing for a month.

1. Maybe, mouse has their own advantages, for example it provides more stability if your hands are shaky
2. Not at all, it's your preference

4. It might, but probably not or at least not much
5. -I've got xp-pen g640 and can recommend it, especially with unofficial tablet driver for osu by hawku
- i think from a few weeks to a couple of month
