- To join the tournament, have your designated team captain fill out the required information in the registration form linked above.
- Every team must contain exactly 2 members.
- There is a 32 character limit on team names.
- The combined rank of all members must be between 800 and 10k (for example, #530 and #9700 would not be able to play in a team together because their combined rank (10230) would exceed the limit of 10k).
- The team must meet team rank requirements once the registration period ends or their registration will be invalidated.
- Both players must be in the Discord server to participate in the tournament, and your Discord nickname must match your osu! name.
- The RNG Tournament is an international osu!Standard tournament.
- Official tournament matches will be played in ScoreV2.
- The tournament will be utilizing double elimination; meaning there will be a losers bracket.
- Mappools will be released one week prior to each round.
- In the event that the number of registered teams exceeds 64, the lowest ranking teams will be removed from the tournament until there are only 64 registered teams remaining.
- Reschedules are only available after the last match of every stage and remain so until up to 24 hours prior to the next match.
- Each mappool will contain 4 maps from each mod pool(NM, HR, HD, DT, FM) and an additional 3 maps for tiebreaker; totaling 23 maps per pool.
- Tournament staff are not allowed to participate in the tournament as a player.
For the group stage of the tournament, teams will be organized into a total of 16 groups, four teams per group. Only two of the four teams in each seeded group will be advancing to the next stage. The teams with the most wins in the group stage will advance to the next stage, and if two teams happen to have the same amount of wins, the amount of maps won by the teams will determine who goes to the next stage. If two teams have the same amount of wins and maps won, a team will be picked to advance to the next stage with a roll.
Match Rules
Match Setup
Penalization
Penalization will be judged based on a circumstantial basis. All punishments are decided exclusively by the staff team after investigation and verification. The severity of the punishment will depend largely on the circumstances of the situation or severity of rule violation.
- Make sure to be online at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled match on both osu! and Discord. This is to allow an assigned referee to contact you and invite you to a multiplayer room. Ensure that "block messages from non-friends" and "block multiplayer invites from non-friends" are turned off in your settings.
- There won't be any warm-up picks during the Group Stage.
- If both teams reach match point, the referee will roll to select a random tiebreaker map to determine the winner of the match.
- Each team is allowed to ban two maps from different mod pools at the beginning of the match.
- Players are allowed to use hidden and/or hard rock on tiebreakers.
- When deciding which team will ban first, one person from each team will roll. The team with the highest roll will decide which team picks the first and third ban, while the other team will pick the second and fourth ban.
- The team that picked the second ban will be the first team to pick a mod pool, while the team that picked the first ban will pick the second mod pool.
- Disqualification or penalization may occur when:
- a team shows no intent to participate in a match or is unable to follow the schedule in a timely manner.
- a participant insults or provokes the staff or another participant
- a participant or team refuses to listen to the referee
- a participant generally behaves inappropriately; which includes intentionally throwing a match, disrespect towards staff or other participants, and fake disconnects.
- It is up to the referee's discretion on whether or not a map will be replayed if a participant unexpectedly disconnects during the match.
Special Rule
This obviously wouldn't be an RNG tournament without it.
When a team is ready to pick a map, they will select a mod pool instead of picking any individual map. The referee will decide on which map in the pool by rolling. Every map in a mod pool will have a specific number assigned to them.
