Hi, NM please?
https://osu.ppy.sh/beatmapsets/825685#osu/1730622 The reason that I like this song is because it is really calm and peaceful; it is also one of my all time favourite song.
The reason why I mapped this beatmap is because when I tried to find it in the beatmap section, there wan one but it wasn't really high level enough, so I decided to make one myself.
i wanted to map this song for a few months now and finally got around to it. it's meant to be a cute map to follow the cute song, but also uses alot of interesting snap divisors, semi-technical patterns, and strict organization. i really like how this map turned out.
This is my 1st map, that's why I picked something short e.e
I'd apprecite if you modded my map. May be a bad song, but it's cause it's my first beatmap, so I wanted to pick something short.
Hope you understand
Thank you <3
Hello! I love anime and I'm a weeb I guess, I'm a new mapper, I'm trying to get one of my beatmaps to ranked. I need modding on my new beatmap, so if anyone wants to check it, go to my profile! Thanks for reading <3
I could probably write an essay on the thought process behind each placed object, but that seems overkill, so I'll try to sum it up as best I can.
Generally what I am going for is a focus on spacing emphasis and certain visual patterns. In the Hard I try to introduce this gradually, while it's there constantly in the Insane. Also I wanted to map it all with generally low spacing, to make the spacing emphasis stand out more, and also because it fits the cute song more.
Aesthetically, I'm trying to follow triangular patterns, and have a cohesive connection between the Hard and Insane. The Hard is more blatantly triangular, while the Insane is more generally hexgrid in certain sections. I did this cause I focused on making the Insane fun to play, and the Hard fun to look at (while not neglecting each from either diff obviously). That's because I think a visually gimmicky map is valuable for people playing Hard diffs to get them further interested (speaking from personal experience). That being said I switch things up when I think the music calls for it.
I've been told my style of mapping is very different from how people are generally mapping nowadays. As a new mapper I can't really judge this I guess, but I like the idea of making something fresh, so the comments make me happy.
At the moment I am mostly looking for mods on my Hard diff. My goal is to have this polished and ranked before uni starts in a month. Really just any feedback is welcome though. I hope you check it out.
