Even though I don't play osu! as much as I used to during its first 4-5 years (A full time job and lack of interest in the anime-centric songs that have become its main draw were the main culprits), I still like to check in on new maps sometimes, and continue to play other rhythm games, including Clone Hero more recently.
I've been working more on video and animation production for YouTube along with a game and cartoon-centric podcast for the past two years, and just put out an episode solely focused on rhythm games in general, including osu! and the Inis games that inspired it. If you enjoy gaming podcasts, maybe it can provide some fun memories: http://sketchwatchplay.libsyn.com/28-b-rhythm-games-retrospective
