Merry Christmas, osu! Even though it's a bit early, This should be ranked by the time christmas rolls around (I hope >>)

This is another good song by Trans-Siberian Orchestra (same group that made Wizards in Winter) called Christmas Eve Sarejevo 12/24. It contains melody from the songs "God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman" and "Carol of the Bells"

This is unlike any other map I've created because it contains custom graphics/modification to fit the time of year. See below and be amazed. :)

Edit: Normal complete.Tweaked burai's timing. Made edits seen above. :)
Edit 2: burai's fixes.
Edit 3: Fixing up the hitcircle. Let me know if it makes it more visible.
Edit 4: Hard added. Added 'candy cane' warning arrows. (need feedback)
Edit 5: burai's spacing. Lightened spinner gauge.
Edit 6: Spinner should be centered better now.
Edit 7: burai naz...err...spacings. Made Hard a bit harder.

and you're welcome for the base timing I set for you. ;)

EDIT: Wow! This is very nice!! I am very pleased with the outcome of this beatmap. but just one thing:
03:05:22 (1,1,1) - feels like they need to be more spread apart. If not, then just move it down a bit. just feels a bit odd.

Also, Hard difficulty, please.

EDIT2: Actually, this feels like one of those few beatmaps where it's really okay to have just a single difficulty: not too easy or too hard. I may map a difficulty of my own if you wouldn't mind. :P Also, stared'd.

Ok. the hitcircle is now all white. Hopefully it'll be more visible now.

For people that have already downloaded the map, I attached the hitcircle below. Just download and replace the old one in the song folder with this one.

Normal:
00:21:43 (3) - closer to 4.
00:24:02 (2,3,4,1) - spread these farther apart.
00:45:89 (3,5) - 3 farther from 2, 5 farther from 4.
01:13:01 (2) - move down a little.
01:30:75 (10,1) - move 10 right just a little, 1 to the left just a little.
02:13:58 (8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1) - section here, fix the spacing. :( Going to be a bit keen and nazi here.
02:30:37 (1,2,3) - Move 1 closer to 2 and 3 OR 2 and 3 closer 1.
02:40:05 (7,8,9) - closer to 6 and instead of a straight line, why not a slight curve there? :P
02:46:83 (3) - farther away from 2.
02:49:09 (2) - farther away from 1 (move all remaining note left).
02:55:22 (9) - closer to 8 (move all remaining notes down).

Hard:
00:08:63 (5) - move left 1 (and all beats until break).
00:18:87 (6) - move down 1 (and all beats until 00:25:50 (5) ).
01:00:10 (12) - farther from 11. move next note a little too.
03:06:84 (1) - add finish sound.

So elegant, so beautiful, and yet so amazing. The added hitsounds on Normal add a nice touch. At least, I think you added them since the last time I checked this. O_o

For some odd reason, your slider at 01:05:60 on Normal... No matter how many times I play the map, it feels just a little funny. But it's probably just me. Actually, I'm certain it's just me.

Oh, and I forgot about this earlier. Your slider gauge... The blue seems really bold, especially compared to the other colours within this map. Maybe it could be lightened up a little or something. As I said, it just feels quite bold compared to everything else.

EDIT: That would be a spinner gauge, by the way, for those who aren't KC and couldn't figure that out.

I didn't really see a huge problem with the timing - it tended to be around 5ms early on most of the sections, but it played fine. I had no trouble staying in time and pumping out 300s in spite of not having a round hitcircle to gauge timing.

Some nitpicks about where we left off. Hopefully, you got everything until then.

Hard:
02:09:39 (8) - can move right1.
02:14:55 (3) - move right1.
02:16:81 (10) - can move right1.
02:19:39 (6,7,8) - fix spacing (7 right1, 8 right2).
02:21:33 (12) - move right1.
02:30:85 (3) - can move up1.
02:32:62 (2,3,4) - 3 can move right and down 1, 5 can move right1.
02:39:08 (7) - can move down1.
02:52:96 (2) - can move up1.
03:05:87 (1) - can add finish sound.

Aren't you going to increase distance snap at the end like Normal?

Normal still needs some fixing in that one place. I'll get osu file whenever.

Looks fine to me, but 00:33:304 and all other subsequent timing sections should be in 3/4, not 4/4. Also, the stack leniency is set too low. Even though the other diffs were set at 0 (and I think the snowflakes look better with low leniency anyway), this is currently unrankable.

If the other diffs' timing sections can be changed to 3/4 without messing anything up, that'd be nice too. Oh, and maybe adding some online tags.

EDIT: Whoops, I meant 01:15:916 and subsequent sections should be changed to 3/4. I saw that some were 4/4, but couldn't tell that the others were because of all the white snowflakes in the timeline. XD *Forgot to check the actual timing setup panel*

I think he means this map was ranked before kiai time was an option in osu, which would be correct.

Would it be possible to add kiai to all difficulties without a score wipe though?

Added kiai to the end on all difficulties. Also modified some of the spinners in Insane.

It's a shame no-one noticed this sooner :( . Theres still time though.

Blue = design/minor issues. you do not have to change these if you don't want to
Orange = moderate issues. it would be best if you change these, but you may be able to get away with not changing it
Red = major issues. you need to change these

Timing looks good (well, its already ranked so it would have to be)

[INSANE]

01:14:949 (4,5,6,7,8,9,10) - Stack these? or maybe lay them out in a row instead of overlapping each other? Because of how wide they're spaced it can be awkward to hit them.
01:54:060 (11) - Remove this beat? It sounds and feels better to me without it.
01:54:545 (1,1) - It's probably not a good idea to overlap these. Make the first spinner a beat shorter maybe?
03:00:709 (1,1,1) - ^ (even though if you did this, the 2nd spinner would be too short, so you might only be able to put 2 spinners down)

That's all. Just fix those overlapping spinners and I'll protobubble :)

Hello again ladies and gents! I'm still as busy as ever with college, but this year I'm really going to try and get the improvements to this map up and running by xmas.

I've spent the last few days completely revamping the insane difficulty above so that it's both harder and more unique when compared to hard. I can say that I'm pretty satisfied with the results. :)

Also so that BATs/MATs know, the only thing changed on Normal and Hard is that I added kiai time at the end (same place as on insane). Once 2 BATs approve of Insane and the kiai time placement, all that's needed is for this set to be unranked so that I can update it, then simply rerank it.

Comments and modding are always welcome.

I'm fine with every change for this beatmap, but at least force the default skin on every difficulty since some skin elements are missing.

It won't update itself. You just unranked or reranked it the wrong way. Also, shouldn't another BAT have updated it since it's your map? Or rather, an admin since they'd need to hax submit the files. :?

Not necessarily. Also, I don't see a problem with me updating my own map as long as 2 BATs approve of the changes beforehand. Luigihann added kiai to his SMB medley himself, and I'm not even sure if he got other BAT's approval.

Anyway, Echo did something server side so it's fixed now.
