I want to be able to pause/mute/stop the music from the select menu (where you pick the song).
It would make life 5 seconds faster and so much easier! It's just annoying to either have to wait at the end of a song or go the the main menu to mute the music. You can do it in Multiplayer though which is nice.

I think you can do that already. It's some key (x maybe?), but I always forget.

Nope. Typing anything ends up searching for it. No keyboard short cut at all. FYI, I'm talking about this menu:

In none of the music games I know about I've seen any kind of mute/stop button on the selection screen (some of them are even annoying because they only play the preview of the song) because, supposedly, you're on that menu to select the song you want to play, not going to use it as a jukebox. If you can do it in Multiplayer is because you need to wait for the other people to get ready and sometimes you can end listening to the same song several times. :?

Still, this was already suggested in this thread so I have to deny this one, sorry!

One thing that is different from other music games is there is a chat function. Sometimes I want to carry on a conversation without listening to what ever song is selected and its a pain to exit to the main menu and mute the sound.
