I like to play with beatmap-specific skins on, to be able to see combo colours and cool themed maps. However, some maps have skin elements (such as visible slider end circles, cursor trail, visible hit 300s) that make the map hard to read. I propose the ability to override these elements on beatmap-specific skins.
Currently, the skin priority goes:
Default skin < Downloaded skin < Beatmap skin
My suggestion is to add a folder for override elements, where you can put your own hitcircle.png etc., so that the priority goes:
Default skin < Downloaded skin < Beatmap skin < Override elements
This would also be helpful for downloaded skins, so that the user does not have to edit each skin individually if they contain undesireable elements.
I'm aware that this could cause conflicts if the skin has an unusual layout, or uses skin elements in an unconventional manner (eg. WubWoofWolf's skin with transparent hitcircles). Therefore, the override should also be toggleable in the options.
