Any thougt of bringing it to the vita? :)
Ephemeral
has there been any word on an open vita development kit that doesn't cost thousands to purchase?
Drakari_old
Only 1.9 thousand, so I don't think it technically counts as "thousands."

Of course, that's Euros.
Ephemeral
that's a very silly thing to say.
Drakari_old
I tend to say silly things.

I don't follow PSP development too closely, but to my knowledge, I guess some open SDK for PSP exists since there are a bunch of homebrew apps and things for it, so maybe this will also happen on the vita?

Oh this Topic is so old, I remember someone asking for a NDS Port.
And I believe there were actually actions taken to do something but the project was abadoned very soon.
And I also remember reading that rule a thousand times.
I'm so old D: But still a middlefag

even so, discussing the possibilities is pretty useless when you have nobody willing to do this
awp
how much thought honestly went into this

I think the first thought came in the second post.

Some honest forward thinking: I'd say it'd be more possible if and when the device is unlocked and made available to homebrew. Without this, we'd be dependent on a single developer with questionably-acquired hardware to develop this, or be passing it to a commercialized company (which is most likely undesirable).

Just wanted to point out PS Suite is currently free to use. It's a app for PS vita development.

I think this is less of "Who wants to make a vita port" than "Whoever decides to make one, lets give you some ideas of features and ideas based on the vita's hardware and features."

I don't know if osu!stream or a variation that emulates PC osu! a bit more closely would be used for the port. PC osu focuses more on streams, fast sliders, and mouse momentum when osu!stream focuses on doubles and jumps, plus managing both a hold note and traditional osu! patterns. With more buttons and input methods than the iphone, something could be done to emulate the keyboard method. The extra buttons could remove the inability to do fast streams on a touch screen.

A random feature I came up with while typing this post, perhaps a stream mode where the shoulder buttons can increase/decrease difficulty for you, and you get more points on the song the more time you play using a high difficulty stream.

I was thinking maybe there would be 2 spinners (one for each analog stick) and you have to spin them instead of spinning a wheel on the touch screen :)
